Keep in mind I was commentating on his debut match against Ajax in a friendly, so it wasn't an overall evaluation
What I like about Caldirola is how he fits into the modern CB role; capable of playing as a ball playing CB, but also capable of playing as a pure destroyer
Caldirola was in a sweeper role with the Italy u21 NT, but now he's fitted into a ball playing role with Bremen. At times he tries too many long balls from the back, which is generally uncharacteristic of what I saw of him with Brescia and the Italy NT
Keep in mind that he transferred to Germany as a replacement for Sokratis, who moved to Borussia Dortmund over the summer (and has arguably been their best CB so far in the season)
