I think I can open a thread for him, after all the deal seems to be very much done. And if not, we've been linked with him quite heavily lately. His agent says that we intent to sign him, let him play at Holland until June and have him available for 2011/2012 season.

Any Dutch folk to share a bit about Castaignos?

I put in my penny on Cnos some pages ago. 18 yr old, one of the better players at his club. He played very well recently at a UEFA youth tournament, that's how you might have spotted him. He's pretty strong, quick and he can score goals. Not much technical or tactical skills but definitely someone able to make the top 5 goal scorers list in Eredivisie within 2 or 3 years. I would not have linked him to Inter simply because Italian defenders are tough and Dutch forwards with a lot more potential have failed in Serie A in the past. OK, Serie A has seen better days, but still. I feel that Inter is speculating heavily on him progressing to a point where hell be a totally different player but still quick and able to score. Who am I to say that could not happen? His club also saw their biggest talent (unsigned 15 yr old Nathan Ake) sign at Chelsea today. They need cash desperately. My guess is Inter pays 2 or 3 million now plus his salary for the next 18 months and the clubs then split any future transfer amount. Bit of a gamble for both sides. Long shot in any case but not a huge risk financially.

He is a Milito type player (1.87 tall, CF). He plays CF in a 4-3-3 for Feyenoord and is a tall attacker who has a knack for scoring goals. Only 18 years old, so if he continues to grow, he may be something special in a few years.

He has scored 5 goals in his last 7 games...including 2 game winners and 1 game tying goal

I think thats what gonna happen. He'll join Inter in June. From the vids I've seen, mind you only vids(I'll see if I catch a Feyenoord game on tv or Internet), he can dribble too but he is a CF. He was touted as the "next" Henry so perhaps he does have play making ability. Either way its definitely a good move by Inter. Its a pretty good High risk-High reward move, and Dutch players do adapt to Serie A.
