right now, LKS wouldnt provide anything moratti couldnt offer inter

now i am chinese, but i still dont think its appropriate that an italian club should be foreign owned

unless he offers something intangible, this would probably just be another joke

Well I suspect it's only a matter of time before Inter are foreign owned. Birmingham City are about to be purchased by the Chinese and Arsenal are about to be bought by more Russians. Inter a very strong brand and have a big following in Asia. They ripe for a buyout.

If it's money Inter want then why not become a PLC.

juve were bizarly victimised by referees in their encounters with Liverpool when the latter one won it :D

From what I know of this man, he wouldn't splash out millions to buy a club that is rather non-profitable. Moratti is really the only guy who is willing to splash cash out every year for new players and stuff, I can't imagine Li Ka Shing doing that.

It sounds like a total BS to me.

A business man would purchase something that is profitable to himself, not something to please a whole crowd of Chinese.

No, Hong Kong is not a city in China per se. I don't know the proper terms to describe their relationship but Hong Kong is still widely considered as its own country, it has its own currency, language, flag, stock index, etc.

Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. This status give Hong Kong broad autonomy, mainly in internal affairs. However, foreign affairs, diplomacy, and defense are handled by China. The poeple of Hong Kong have Chinese citizenship. If you need to obtain a visa to visit Hong Kong, you would need to go to the Chinese embassy or consulate.

language- Hong Kong speaks mainly Cantonese, which is one of many Chinese dialects. Millions of people speak Cantonese in the mainland.

flag- Many cities have it's own flag. New York's flag is quite famous, as it looks like the Dutch flag.

bourse- China has three major stock exchanges. India has two major exchanges. Even the US has two major stock exchanges.

One of the richest people in the world, the Chinese Li ka-shing would want to make a offer of 350 million euro to buy Inter since Inter is the most famous team in China. He belongs in the top 10 of richest people in the world. He would have about 23 billion euro.
Here is the news in Italian: http://it.eurosport.yahoo.com/22092007/44/offerta-350-mln-futuro-dell-inter-gial-43.html

Do you guys think Moratti should agree or do you think it will be nothing?

Not a chance! Moratti loves INTER very much. There's the main reason. Also we're not in financial crisis, so why we need a money from outside? I believe in Moratti as much as when he bought INTER without telling his wife.

I'm a citizen of hong kong and I do not have chinese citizenship.
For most intents and purposes, hong kong is a standalone country... There are complications with the political system, etc, e.g. china manifests itself through the supposed 'elections', but anywhere where one 'person' or 'entity' has 50% of the electoral power, it doesnt count.

Millions of people speak English in mainland Europe, it doesn't make any point. Cantonese is pretty much a solely Hong Kong language, with a large sprawl of speakers in neighbouring parts of China - however, this does not mean it 'originates' or anything from those parts of China. I'm under the impression that this was in fact primarily a manifestation of the business sprawl across the border, and the fact that Hong Kong WAS a much stronger economy, leading to people having to learn Cantonese to deal with Hong Kong businessmen.

Li Ka-Ching buying Inter would be a bad thing, look at the mess Chelsea got themselves into. Mancini would lose 1 match and he would probably get axed for an unknown Chinese manager. It would be a similar situation to the one at Hearts.

I think you're completely wrong.

Li Ka-Ching is a business man - in an oriental model. despite all my dislikes towards him with respect to corruption, etc, the FIRST thing he would do would be to hire a bunch of football-specialist advisors, and give over management of the club to them.
He would NOT, I repeat NOT take an Abrahimovic role.
Whilst, yes, pressure would be on the manager, his sole purpose would be to make money (or perhaps have a little bit of fun, as long as it isn't a huge money sink). The sum result? The club would be run football-specialists with good business sense, they would be able to request as much money towards signing players as they wanted, but it'd be compensated with some 'merchandising' signings, e.g. signing an Asian player or two to boost the market, I suppose the closest model we can have at the moment is Manchester United.
At the end of the day, as long as the money use wasn't ridiculous, and profit was maintained, he would run it 'well'.

However, I personally prefer a hands-on owner, e.g. Moratti, with close understanding of the fans, and importantly, a good link with the club's history.
