You don’t necessarily need world-beaters on the flanks in Conte’s system. But at the very least you need Lecce-beaters.

Candreva and Biraghi were both abysmal today, even though Biraghi picked up his second assist in consecutive games. Neither of them took on their man once the entire fucking match. Neither of them overlapped, got in behind the defence or attacked with any pace or purpose. It was slow, safe, passive and impotent - and I'm disgusted at both of them and Conte for this shitshow.

To me, Candreva was even more disappointing than Biraghi because we all know he actually possesses some degree of attacking capability. However, he's been slowly creeping back to Spalletti-Candreva and he's looking increasingly fuckheaded and arrogant in the way he plays these days. Seriously, in recent games he sometimes looks like he's barely trying. At times he looks as careless and casual as if he were fucking playing beach soccer while on holiday.

As vas said, we rely so heavily on our WB's in this system. When they fail to get things done, something needs to give. Conte either needs to replace them, or change other areas of the team setup. We know he'd rather die than do the latter. To Conte, having 3 CB's on the pitch at all times is as obvious and unquestionable as having a goalkeeper. I'm surprised and disappointed he didn't change either WB. Why the fuck even bring Lazaro and Dimarco on the bench if he treats them like the plague. May as well have fucked them off with Politano and Vecino.

Simply put, everything ran through Biraghi and Candreva today, and they were shit. Everything they touched turned to shit - and Conte did nothing to remedy that.

to me, the very fact that conte relies so much on wingbacks is surprising, and incoherent.

i mean, if the best you have is candreva and asamoah (when no one is injured), your game plan must not rely on them.

and if you ask to buy players like young, it would seem even more obvious that for the position you only consider workhorses merely to be considered added defenders who on occasion give a helping hand attacking.

Thanks. The Candreva part is so accurate I’m surprised if Conte didnt notice. He is probably plays in the most important position in the team yet he does the least work. That’s not how a wingback in Conte’s system should play.

As for Biraghi, he tries his best but he is too shit, still appreciate him more than Candreva.

20 monutes in the 1st half, we lost ball too easily in the midfield.. Things get better there, but we could not really endanger their goals.

Lukaku goal should have stayed. The ref really sucked.

Sensi and barella were not 60% of their best form yet, and we didnt have any better alternatives.

We should have won this, this is yellow alert to conte that serie A teams start to be able to figure out how to break our play..

We need more players who can beat their man, I think our wingers aren't doing enough.

Credit to Lecce who played a very good game, but I feel the goal we conceded was very soft. Meh, these things happen I am seeing a lot of doom and gloom but I'm sure Conte will give the boys a good kick up where the sun don't shine.

It wouldn't suprise me if Conte as hard-headed as he is doesn't bring in any subs just to show the management how mediocre some players are. No way in hell DiMarco and Lazaro are worse then what we saw yesterday.

At least we are now suck in January only.

Aside from tactical analysis, I think the team also got complacent and thinking that winning is just usual routine without giving their maximum to provide the extra spark that we need. Also, once we get the lead, the complacent made us lethargic and did not chase the ball as we used to be. It seems they were thinking once they got the lead, they will get another one easily. It is very dangerous given how average our players are.

I just wish Handa could be more aggressive and take initiative to shout our defenders every time our defenders lose concentration. I know Conte did, but it is hard for him to shout from the bench. I just can feel it, usually we let go several shots on goal or chances before we usually conceded. We can avoid it if we have someone, a leader, who can spark the fire again anytime we lose concentration

Meh I don't think the team played badly tbh, we were just unlucky and weren't as intense as we were versus Cagliari. Lecce were well organised and they got a point against Juve at home too. You can't win every single game guys, we have an excellent points total and will be getting reinforcements in January. If you told me we'd be where we are now at the beginning of the season I'd have signed up no sweat.

Sloppy performance but to take lead and still not win was doubly dissapoint

Lukaku best player on pitch

Candreva easily the worst. Diabolical display

Lukaku? The entire team underperformed but I thought he was one of the worst. If I had to pick a best it’d be de Vrij, Bastoni or Brozovic.

Felt like Barrella and Sensi were kinda poor. Our midfield kept getting suffocated almost all match. Candreva and Biraghi were their usual selves and we can't expect more from them. I'm hoping Young & Moses can outperform these two but highly unlikely.

PS: I keep seeing people on Facebook complaining about the lack of red card on the Barrella challenge. Don't think it was a red, the dude clearly had the ball and passed it, then Barrella got in his way.

About the first part i agree, expected more from our midfield, maybe Barella and Sensi need some games after the injury.

About the foul: If the foul from Vecino against Juve was red, then this was red too. But of course, we are not Juve...

Reactions to the draw have been poor. We need to dig deep now and Conte has to earn his ridiculous salary if we still want to have a chance at the title. And it needs to happen on the field, not in transfer banter.

Italian football journalist Maurizio Pistocchi has taken to social media platform Twitter to share his thoughts on referee Piero Giacomelli’s performance in yesterday’s 1-1 draw between Lecce and Inter.Giacomelli has come in for a lot of criticism for the many decisions he got wrong during the match at the Stadio Via del Mare and Pistocchi chose to further criticise him.“In addition to having disallowed a goal scored by Romelu Lukaku which was fine and failing to give Donati a red card for his tackle on Barella, he gave a non-existent penalty, whilst he was falling on the ground. I have never seen anything like this.”

Ex-referee Graziane Cesari also said Lukaku goal should have counted.

Yes Inter did not play well and yes this should not be used as an excuse.... but looking at the history of juBe and their influence on refs, I can't help but ask why this hardly ever happens to juBe. Is their influence on the refs/league still to great for that to happen? so far for my rethorical question
