Why the Lautaro case is so complicated. He is one of the best talents in the world and his clause is 110m, it’s clear. If Barca is interested they should just pay the price. To me Lautaro is still far from a complete player. I would love to keep him but I wont think twice if Barca is willing to pay that amount.

It’s simple. Barca are entitled and think they’re the best thing that happened to this world. So naturally every player should wish to play for them and every team should bend the knee. If not, they’ll start the Barca DNA shit, start tapping players, or go directly to the media and mess with that players head. Look at all their big transfers, none was concluded without huge drama. Ranging from stealing Malcom after hopping on a plane, to Dembele who Dortmund fans extremely hate even though he was probably sold for twice his value.

Martinez isn’t innocent, either. He’s not committed at all. Thinks that bigger wages and playing with Messi is much better than us. I hope they pay the release fee and he leaves. We are building a project and he’s not committed.

To be honest, I’m a bit sick of it. When’s the last time he scored?

At the moment, it feels as if we are playing with ten men. We should seriously consider allowing him to leave for as much as possible. Quite frankly, his performances since learning of Barcelona’s interest have been of a player that is not focused and would rather be somewhere else. The way I see it, if he wants to go then we should let him do so. These subpar performances are not helping us. Selling him will allow us to reinvest the money and then we can move forward. Right now, it just feels like that we are stuck up front.

maybe he plays so bad, because he wants to stay in Inter and to discourage Barcelona from paying his release clause?

Poor performance. He needs to be more in the game. I think he needs the ball more to get into the game. Though I wasn't exactly sober when I followed the match (and didn't follow it from start to finish) so not sure how involved he was. He needs to hustle a lot to have the space to make combinations with Lukaku.

He was constantly beating to the ball by maksimovic when we tried to get it into his feet.

Yeah, so the response or sensitivity is still not there. I hope it will get better now as the matches continue and he finds his timing better. Napoli also defended pretty well so gotta give them that too.

He took a couple of games to get into the swing of things at the start of the season too. Not worried.

Hey guys! long time no see?
didn't watch the entire match, only the last 15 minutes or so. Was he really so bad? On the other hand, it's only the first match after such a long pause.

p/s: I read somewhere, that him and Conte agreed that he will leave Inter at the end of the season, but Lautaro promised to give his all until that day. If he wants to leave, well let him...

He was pretty poor in my view. Looked somehow disconnected form the game.

I do not think his drop in form is down to the fact that he has not played for three months. His teammates also had not played for three months but gave a better account of themselves in their first game back than what Martinez did. His performance (or lack thereof), was exactly in line with what he was doing before the imposed break.

The more I think about him the more pissed off I get. Conte keeps selecting him because Alexis is hardly setting the world on fire. It is almost as if Conte keeps selecting Martinez hoping things will change but he just keeps putting in shit performances. I am guessing that his continued selection is for negotiating purposes to ensure there is no a drop in his price. Having said that, I also understand why Conte would choose to select him before Sanchez.

I read this morning that serious thought may be given to starting Sanchez against Sampdoria. I am all for that if it means we get more out of our front two. However, when it comes to Sanchez, he always comes close but not close enough. Right now, that seems to be the narrative of his career at Inter and more generally.

I guess the part that makes me angry is that Martinez starts every game and gives very little. And all I can see are the grubby little cunts in Barcelona laughing, rubbing their hands together in glee and asking for a discount because he is not performing to expectations.

I don't see the situation like that at all. More than anything, he isn't doing himself any favors by performing poorly (which he 100% isn't doing on purpose) because it weakens his negotiation leverage in extension talks. Barcelona won't pay that 111m€ so we are not selling, it's pretty easy. We are covered here.

I don't think he plays bad on purpose and I assume nobody thinks that. The other day I was just venting when I said that.

Still, I feel like he's letting the negotiations distract him and that maybe he's not giving his 100%.

Lukaku was quite bad too, but at least you could see that he tried as hard as he could. Lautaro didn't.

Can we atleast wait a couple of game before we say he s not interested or he does it on purpose. It s not like he was the only one looking bad out there and it s also a bit understandable after not playing competitive for so long, there are many who struggled with their first game when the season resumed after a long break if you watched the first round in germany you also saw that.

So lets see first before we shit on him maybe he needs a bit more time to get fully back.
Also shit like that pisses me off: https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Seri...n-segna-piu-tocca-sanchez-3701825544706.shtml

Saying lautaro does not score anymore cause he has not scored in his last six matches........

for now, but messi and the rest are gonna be in his head nonstop, and they will turn him against us possibly, he might start acting out of character
Yes, some say this already happened looking at his recent performances.

After failing to score in this past weekend’s 1-1 draw away to Napoli, Lautaro has now went six games across all competitions without finding the back of the net.

It is not just goals that have dried up for the 22-year-old either with the report highlighting the fact that since his sending off against Cagliari, the number of shots taken, chances created and touches in the box have all decreased.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has told Lautaro Martinez he must find the back of the net again soon or he could lose his place in the starting line-up according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lautaro is not guaranteed of his place in the starting line-up and Alexis Sanchez’s performance off the substitutes bench on Saturday has shown Inter that the Chilean could be very useful and he could perhaps take the place of Lautaro shortly.

EDIT: Adriano@10 beat me to it.

The next WC will probably be Messi's last, it's very enticing for LM10 to build up chemistry with Messi at Barca before the next WC starts.
