At one point will he realize he’s ass at penalties and just becomes a leader and give the duties to someone else even when Hakan isnt playing.

This is ridiculous hes missed way too many

When we are already winning, I don't mind him shooting the penalty. Otherwise nah

If its 4-0 or 5-0 idc.

But this game wasnt finished, at 2-0 dimarco doesnt tap in, they need one goal and suddenly they’re playing for a draw

And if Dimarco was wearing red and black shirt, he would be Milan player.

So who's the possible best penalty takers after Hakan?
Thuram? Mhki? DiMarco? Barella?

I think his problem with penalty is due to his approach, he goes with instinct of a striker rather than well placed, calculated shooting.

Our first goal was Lautaro the creator. He knew when to drop deep and provided a defence-splitting pass to the space he left. The second goal was Lautaro the goal scorer out of nowhere. At the moment, no one thought it was a step away from a goal, but Lautaro managed to sneak a venom through the tight marking. If we take into account his defensive responsibility as well, we already have a complete worldclass striker in our team.

Unfortunately, he should step away from being a penalty taker when it matters. It is okay to statpad the goal tally when we are ahead, but he fails PK too many to be our penalty taker in important moments.

I was expecting a panenka tbh
In my head, given all his history, i thought that even he thought about it, taht if he takes a "normal" one, he will overthink and give away his intentions to the GK, so yolo with panenka...

I was 99% sure it wasnt goal if it was a normal penalty kick...

Having said that, i think even if Mbapee played for us, or Halland, we would complain and bitch about missed chances etc...

Also, he should try to slide and fall while kicking the penalty next time :D

He can miss one penalty every game if he always plays like this, couldn't care less. He is a problem, for any defender and goalkeeper in the league.
I thought his shot was going wide, nothing Carnesecchi could do.

That goal may be the best goal I've seen him score for us, given it was with his weaker foot.

Regarding penalties, he really struggles. His last penalty miss was to the other side (vs. Bologna), but similarly 'central' which goalkeepers can save if they guess. He may be better off blasting one centrally next time around.

Outside of that, his all around play is so good. Dropping deep, controlling the ball with a defender on his back, turning with the ball, making the right pass, etc.

Also good to see him make the pass to Darmian for the chance Darmian missed. Glad to see he's focused on the team rather than the top scorer award.

Needs to simplify his approach for now, get the scouting report on the goalkeepers tendency and go to opposite lower corner. Something to work on in the summer.

To be fair, it was a good save by Carnesecchi.

But Lautaro's PK experience isn't ideal of course.

I still can't believe that belter on his left foot went in. After he took the shot I looked away because I was sure it had flown wide.

Special, special, special. Need to lock him down.

Lautaro is about 5 goals in CL away from being a top 3 Ballon d'or for this season

I hope he shows up against Atletico and make everybody see he is HIM

Vieri was never healthy 3 seasons in a row.

During Baggio and van Basten time teams would normally score under 60 goals a season, quite an impossible task to reach 20 for players, let alone three years on the trot. Van Basten wasn't far off but got injured frequently.

Shevchenko is an interesting one, yeah, but Milan wasn't always as competitive when he signed and was more in his prime and his numbers started to decrease when they signed Inzaghi and they were sharing goals.

Batistuta on the other hand was a genuine monster and the only focal point of attack but his 20+ consecutive seasons came in his final seasons with Fiorentina plus a 4th with Roma who had an impressive attacking line and scored tons.

Even if you make this number 15 goals or more, you'll miss out some great scorers (like Trezeguet that you mentioned or Abel Balbo) and the list would be modern heavy.
Should we also not consider level of competition? The quality of the league has dropped since, serie a no longer boasts the best players in the world like 20 years ago. We lauded Kaku for dominating the league in the 2020s yet he embarrassed in EPL and Europe. To me its a tad unfair to right now place Toro in the same echelon as the old time greats who were up against tougher competition, inspite of what his stats show. I reckon the likes of Bam Bam and Balbo (and my boy Cruz) could tally similar numbers in this era, under Inzaghi ball. But credit to Toro, more impressive is his captaincy, consistency and durability.

As far as penalties go...

Would be a good idea experiment with Sommer.

I don't think Lukaku did any better in Serie A than he did in PL.

All that changed was the dynamics of his team. Look at him at Roma for example. Compares well with his PL stints.
