The club has to release an statement condemning that letter. Curva Nord being a joke again, as usual.

"I'm not racist, I have black friends!!"

Something must be going on behind the curtains, between CN and the club.
It’s been few times now that they purposely do something stupid. I think all this is calculated by them.
My theory is that Zhangs told them to fuck off, and not giving them perks anymore like papa Moratti used to.

So far this season:

They've paid public respect to a drug dealer/criminal.
And this...

Wonder if Icardi could've called his 50 thugs afterall.

I definitely expect a response/action from the club.

Agree with luka. You guys love to blame someone so quick without clearly understand the point. love or hate without curvanord that stadium is nothing.

...is nothing to be ashamed of.

Without Curva Nord, other fans will just have to cheer more. I don't see that as a problem, give the curva nord spot to childrrn for free.

italy needs to implement english style regulation around stuff like this. banning sections of the . stadium for a match or two is meaningless. you need to ban people from football related activities for life.

Italy has nothing to do with England in terms of racial history and behavior. Why would they implement a law on something that doesn't affect them? Should Italy also add a law that it's acceptable to throw arrows at Welsh people?

As for people banned from football, Italy has been doing that long before England even had the idea of doing it.

The results have evidently been fantastic.

Anyway, here's an idea...how would the curva throw off a white person before the penalty?

Whatever way that is, just do it also for the black person.

It's ok to have political alignment but fuck me, we've put up with enough of exposing it at stadia. Put people off in a standard way. Using someones colour to do it, even if you don't hate them, is racist.

There's no white and black treatment. Well, okay, there's a black treatment. But the CN did exactly that on every Italian Lazio player during their ban.
Towards Ronaldo it was carnival whistles.
Towards Napoli players it's Vesuvio explosion wishes.
Others get a laser pointer treatment. These people will do whatever they have to to get under someone's skin. They will talk about their mothers or sisters.
Others have been wished death. No one batted an eye.

It's an arena, a stadium. There is no such thing as caring about someone's feelings. That's the gist of it. You are there to fight at all costs. That's their rational. You may find that stupid or whatever, but they are at least honest about it.

If monkey chants get on the nerves of black players, then it won't stop.
If Napoli fans jeer at the national anthem, chant that they are Greek/Partenopei and fuck Italy and all that, it won't stop if people get triggered by it.
If Napoli fans get triggered everytime someone chants about Vesuvio erupting and lava sweeps them all up, it won't stop.
But truth is, most of those people chanting those Vesuvio chants will be the first to go and help them whilst the rest of the world who is criticizing them will just upload a facebook photo.

This is an Italian thing, not a global thing. It shouldn't be happening but it does. You cannot enforce people to abide by standards that are foreign to them. They do not share English, French, Dutch or Belgian history in this respect and even under their latest fucked up era under Mussolini, the Eritreans and Somalis were respected and were part of the Italian military, as normal Italian citizens. They just do not get what all the fuss is about and they don't give a fuck. Imposing that on them seems as weird as them doing these shitty sounds.

The only way this stops is if players of their own team do something about it. And I don't mean Instagram posts or hug the guy who received those chants.

PS. We Euro Mediterranean people are loud, noisy and make fun of everything. Height, weight, skin tone, baldness and almost every other non-physical stuff that there is. There is no filter. All kinds of flter seems to be very popular these days in the Anglosphere and western Europe.
And people will be like "but this is racism". Well, for most Italians, it's just another day.

The results have evidently been fantastic.

The results show that this is a silly idea in the first place.

It's not individuals going bad, it's a cultural thing. And most have been banned for carrying weapons and shit (from knives to fucking rockets). Someone else will carry them when they are banned.

Btw, are people really more...offended by racial chants than magari muori* chants?

*Which means: hope you die

Yes because they are Italians at the end of the day, but would they help them if they were black?

Your post is saying exactly the same thing the CN statement said, and the same thing i said about fans and ultras not just in Italy but in a lot of other places as well.

So what? Is this going to change tomorrow? Barking about it from a keyboard far away does not do anything.

The CN just seems to want Lukaku to brace himself for what he'll encounter in Italy. You may find their methods stupid or fucked up, but at the end of the day, that was the essence of their message.

In Italian media is almost like a non-event. Just briefly mentioned as most Ultras announcements are.

As for the Cagliari game itself, I personally did not hear anything on Lukaku and Asamoah with the exception of the penalty. And I almost always use natural stadium sound with no journalist covering, so it's less likely I'd miss much. If this was a genuine "racist behavior", it would have been ongoing.

Barking about how much you like icardi and hate conte wont change a thing, doesnt stop you from doing it.

In this case, I'm fairly confident at least some people associated to the club read this forum. If theres even a 1% chance that it gets back to Romelu that some of the fans of his new club find this position disgusting, that alone makes it worthwhile.
