He wasn't shit which is I guess the main point of using him. At this point he's just eating minutes from the main guys. He's learning the ropes of playing in this team, for playing at a club like Inter. Matches like this (Napoli) are important for him, he gets to experience the immense pressure and the defensive requirements.

Next season will be probably better for him.

Asllani's stats as a starter in Serie A
Inter vs Roma (1-2) L
Sassuolo vs Inter (1-2) W
Salernitana vs Inter (1-1) D
Inter vs Monza (0-1) L
Napoli vs Inter (3-1) L

1 Win, 1 Draw, 3 Losses.
The victory over Sassuolo happened after he was replaced at halftime by Mikhy, who provided the assist for the winning goal.

There is also game when he starts in other competition.
Bayern vs Inter (2-0) UCL
Inter vs Parma (2-1 AET) Coppa

He does require playing time to improve, but there is a cost involved.
He has the talent, but it might be better for him to go on loan for a season and gain consistency game time with another team so he can reach his full potential.

At least against Salernitana and Monza, we conceded only after Asllani was taken off the pitch.

I don't believe that those stats are related to a particular player.
I think at one point (I don't recall which season exactly though) there were some stats saying that when N5 is on the pitch, we didn't have any losses.

Too simple to say that starting Asllani was the reason for those results. You would have to look at the full line up. Most likely if he was starting there was other significant rotation in the line up.

I thought he played fine yesterday. He had some good moments and didn’t have any disaster moment (Bellanova for example had one). He should have gotten more minutes this season as a further advanced midfielder with Brozo or Hakan behind him.

I thought the same thing, but aside from Napoli, we actually field him with the usual starters.
Obviously he was not the single reason we lost the points; it was a team effort.
Don't get me wrong, I also would like to see him ready when he starts, he is doing just okay, but he doesn't develop much since the preseason. He need to improve, perhaps we expect too much after what he demonstrated his ability in the preseason.
This limited appearance and the result are both costly for the team and his development.

I would say Roma and Sass are the only games we played with starters from the ones you posted.

Nice to see Inzaghi giving Asllani some minutes as mezzala a couple of times now. He did okay; should have done better with that shot where he had a lot of time and space. I don’t see any reason why he can’t at least be serviceable playing on the sides of a midfield three.

I'd like Asllani to use both of his feet more. He'll get there, I don't think he is limited like Alvarez, but nowadays kids start on that soon. Compared to Perišić, Brozović and Hakan, he is far from there. We need him at least on the level of Barella, who can comfortably dribble and pass with both legs.

If anyone noticed, he is having a hard time finding good position. I think he’ll improve gradually.

I remember when Vayiannidis joined a side that had Candreva and just signed Hakimi and Darmian and was claiming that he's here for the first team :D

Funny you mention this as i had pointed it out at the time

I don't know what Ausilio told him but he sounds too arrogant for my liking. Expecting to go from Greek youth league to Inter's first team in a matter of months. Having ambitions is a very good thing but having the feet on the ground is also important. I obviously wish him the best and I hope he will be strong enough in case things don't go the way he has imagined them.

Asllani taking Gagliardini's place sounds good to me. It's what should have happenend last season.

Beautiful strike. He's actually quite good with his weaker foot.

Brighton interested in two players – report

Piero Ausilio met Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbi in Milan (sushi restaurant) this week with the Premier League side interested in two Nerazzurri midfielders.

De Zerbi is said to be an admirer of Inter midfielders Kristjan Asllani and Giovanni Fabbian so he could have discussed their availability with Ausilio.
EPL hungry for more.
