I think the Germans in general are arrogant. Could be another reason. But I'm not sure.

Hamed, nice to see another German fan.

Nerazzurro: Germany rules mate. Its not all about style and personally the team Germany had 1992 in the European cup. The team Germany had really was so complete. I mean its enough to have Effenberg in ur midfield. People talking about Roy Keane and Vieira, etc and totally forgot about him. Well both keane and vieira will not even be half of Effenberg.

Look at Germany last world cup. Reached the final even though they had an average squad. Thats the difference really between them and the rest.

Germany is like the Juventus of National Team. Not the cheating part but the fighting spirit part. You can NEVER rule them out.

Excellent comparison, Han. Couldn't have said it much better myself, they are a very irritating team to watch from a neutral's point of view and i guess it's because of their mentality that i have grown to dislike them. :)

As you might know I live in Denmark - the border country to the north of Germany. As a person who have met lots of Germans I can say that one thing they all had in common was their kindness and hospitality. The large majority are simply nice and decent people.

Back to soccer. Germany has historically been a giant and it still amazes me when they do well with less good teams. Han Solo put it well: They are the Juventus of NT´s.

Their often boring playing style is the main reason why they aren´t that popular as you would expect. In Denmark we call them "sausage-Germans". :D They rely much on physique and sometimes it goes out of hand. But because they are so damn determined and effective they are a very frustrating team to face. ;) Believe me, we have met them so many times and gone home angry and emptyhanded... :wallbang:

This could be off-topic a bit, but one of the reasons i like them could be their flag. Their flag is the coolest around specially when the fans bring a huge flag and just pass it through the stands. Just a thought.

What does that mean? Is it the German version of "Forza Italia" and "Allez Les Blues?"

Yup. It is extracted from their national anthem. It has a lot to do also with history. They used to sing it even before the Wiemar Republic was established.

i luve the german national team!!!!!!! there's my favourite right after italy. and my own country offcourse has to top the list (Egypt) even though these days i decided im going to pass on cheering for egypt because they are responsible for high blood pressure in most families in egypt and having bad bad days!!!!!!!!!! out of 80 million people why cant we produce a descent 11 !!!!!!!!!!!! ugggh..its frustrates me because we have players who could be the best in the world! but they waste their times out in coffee shops then i training!!! like if anyone ever knew of hazem emam : who won the pepsi dribbling challenge?! ..anyways off topic..

rudi voller said in a press confernce : he'd leave someone who is more experienced than him to manage germany and now they bring kiinsmann???? OH BOY..germany are going to be bad. and so will holland : van basten as their coach.

whats with these stupid national teams choosing old legandry players as coaches!? its so bad! i think holland and germany will be history!

Klinsman passes the first test as they beat Austria in a friendly 3-1...Now this might not be much being it a friendly and all.But u have to remember that Germany struggled scoring in the last tournament so this is an improvement...Although i heard their defence was shaky.Anwyas best of luck to Klinsman and the German NT

It was also nice to see Kurnayi score a hattrick. I was high on hopes for this guy on euro04 and i thought he played well but couldn't score. Ballack is in the new captain now and that's the right decision. Still, they have to find good local strikers or naturalize some (maybe Ailton, why not??)
