It is Shavarsh Karapetyan. He saved 20 lifes from drowning in a cold lake back in '76 and was afterwards unconscious for one and a half month. He was a professional swimmer that already had won a lot of golden medals but the injuries he suffered from trying to save people made him into retirement.

Very nice performance, much more entertaining than Mazzarri for sure.

Subbing Osvaldo in when Mazzarri would be delighted with a draw :epicwin:

Well I believe in the story. Pictures of the bus that went into the lake are around on the internet and why should a 23 yo professional swimmer in his best age suddenly dissappear from all swimming competitions? Anyway its a great story.

No, nothing Armenian about me Wobblz. I just like good stories. :)

"Juve-Inter was the most watched championship game on TV this year: 3.672 million viewers (13% share) between Sky and Mediaset." Nice.

Well, I'm Armenian and it's pretty cool unrelated people recognise such low profile heroes.

On February 19, 1985, Shavarsh just happened to be near a burning building, that had people trapped inside. He rushed in and started pulling people out without a second thought. Once again, he was badly hurt (severe burns) and spent a long time in the hospital.
BTW, good guy Shavarsh :)
