You talk in hindsight.

Well, what exactly is wrong with that? People running the club should be hold responsible and should satisfy the highest standards as possible. It's Inter we are talking about here, not Lecce.

But the fact is they took risks last summer, tried their best,

Lol, that was awful. Because they tried their best(which was god damn disgusting) they shouldn't be criticized? Why don't you throw in that they are also very good and honest people and we shouldn't go hard at them while you are at it?

Look, it's pretty simple-They did a terrible job implementing/executing ideas for the last two years and deserve all the bashing for that.

they didnt purposely set us up to fail. No, they didnt.
You and n4l(not same level as The wall) will blame everythign on the management. We dont know what is happening, but the difference is you assume the management are out to screw the club. I see it differently.

You are the making stuff up. Again. I never said they were out there to purposely screw the club. But them trying to their best is not even close to being good enough. Them trying their best doesn't mean anything to me if they can not get shit done.

Don't believe so. History is against her, only anger is with her.

I said nothing about history/how Moratti treats players/etc. You did.

I just played devil's advocate; you said "How do we not know that JC was instructed in January that we would be looking for a younger/cheaper alternative while thanking him for all his work?"

I simply asked how do we know that he was?
A simple question with a simple answer. We can't know. Right or wrong? History aside, we can not know for sure what was said or not said between the two. You can't speak of Moratti like you know him personally... you can't speak for Moratti... you can't speak for Julio. Only they can speak for themselves. End of story.

Past behaviours are a good precedent as to how someone would act under the same situation in the future. If I masturbate with my right hand 9 out of 10 times, you would feel safe wagering that I would use my right hand again, even if you don't know 100%.

Lol what part of "I'm not arguing that" didn't you get? My point remains the same. And I still feel its bullshit to rip the heart out of this squad rather he was warned or not.

Oh well...it's a cutthroat business huh?

It was just the other day that people were saying Morattis biggest flaw was that he treated this team as a family and that would always come back to bite him in the ass. Lose/lose for MM sometimes with you guys tbh.

Not sure if sarcasm...but you're 100% right. Fan of the transfer saga or not, no one can deny what you've just written.

So is Deki, but he's staying? So that's pretty invalid tbh. Chivu? Come on, there are so many other guys that could/should go before Julio.

I've never said this. But it's amusing how youre unable to comprehend a simple statement. Thought you were smarter than that, really - no idea where "you can't know what was said" turned into all of this.

having a back up midfielder for 2m is a bit reasonable, but having a back up gk for 4.5 m per year thats just way to much

I'm completely against the departure of JC.. and only said that to mock the arguments made justifying his departure.

I remember back in 05/06 I was pretty upset at the prospect of Julio taking over Toldo's gloves. He was just some unknown Brazilian player, who played for Chievo! (of course, he didn't actually play there, but you know). I really wanted us to sign Buffon during the calciopoli.

The game I realized we had something special between the posts was the first derby madonnina in 06/07, when we smashed Bbilan 4-3. Matrix had just been shown a red, and we were throwing away a 4-1 advantage. It was 4-2, when Julio made an amazing double save. Cafu made a powerful shot from the right side, and Julio blocked it away to Seedorf (?) who just smashed it towards the goal, and Julio just made this acrobatic save.
He didn't have that great of a match, and he caused the last goal to Bbilan, but I remember that it was that game that made me realize we had an amazing keeper.

Generally, he's had some legendary performances in the derbys.

That's Inter's fuck up. Not Julio's. Shouldn't offer him that much if they had no intention of keeping him in a position worth that much.

And Inter are fixing their fuck up by getting Handanovic and asking JC to leave. Inter cannot force JC to leave, just like JC cannot force inter to give him any playing time. It is a shit situation to be in, but since we are here this is the only way to go. We will not be able to achieve FFP without selling our costly players, that is an unfortunate fact. Our wages need to drop by 50m if we are to have any chance to get through FFP, and I don't see any way of doing that while keeping JC (except maybe selling Sneijder instead).

1.kicking JC out like this isn't 'fixing' anything, it's replacing one fuckup with an even bigger one;
2.this sure as hell isn't the 'only' way to go. On the contrary, Inter management handled the JC situation in probably the WORST possible way there is.
3.this 'we need to save money' thing is getting old. Go to the finanacial situation thread if you're really interested, what I know for sure is that despite some efforts made (Forlan, Lucio in some way), alot of our deadwood still remain and I can name many Inter players who deserve to be shown the door much more than Cesar and yet they are still here.
4.lol@FFP :palm: Even Moratti himself have stopped using this old cliche so please...
