If we keep the Juan-Rano CB partnership and it works then we should def pass on Silvestre who will cost us an extra $8 million euro. I don't see why we should buy another CB. They aren't cheap and we have 2 early 20s CBs that will start for us for a really long time. Just promote from the youth sector and get rid of Samuel and Chivu.

We could also hire Marco, the San Siro pitchkeeper, who is probably out of a job now. It'd save us a lot of money.

Tho, we'd be in for a shit time if either of Juan or Ranocchia gets injured.

Edit: Also, am i the only one who sees very strong potential in Silvestre?

Ranocchia has been up to far worse shit and in higher quantities than Silvestre, yet people now have a sudden blind belief in him and completely write off Silvestre. And don't read this as an attack on Ranocchia. Silvestre's problems seem to be same as Ranocchias from a year ago, only much less severe: marking/positioning. And elsewhere he has got great qualities: good timing of tackles, great in the air, strong, reasonable speed.

Watching the Torino match now, at the 70th minute. If Juan Jesus keeps this up, this will be one of the best signing of all time.

Although you have to remember that Nelson Mike Tyson Rivas was very promising at the beginning to. :troll:

People need to shitting on Rivas. He cost us next to nothing was making no money and had a bad game against fing Cristiano Ronaldo !!!!!!!!!!! People need to drop all this Rivas hate like he was the worst signing Inter ever did.

Silvestre is ok but for $10 million euro he is too much money. Fine if Juan or Rano get injured we'd be in trouble but what's to say none of the guys we have out on loan can't step up for a couple games. Samuel and Chivu are done and need to leave. If Rano and Juan are the real deal then why drop so much money for someone to just ride the bench for them?

I mean it's only 1 watch for Juan and only 1 shitty match for Silvestre so probably getting ahead of ourselves but I rather start the guy we actually own and give minutes to our youth players.

I did read somewhere that Silvestre is here on loan with a option to buy him...

I read 8 million buy + 2 million loan. Extra $8 million on him if he doesn't become a starter is a waste of money

Sorry for spoiling the party
The performance was absolutely outstanding, but the opponents are the newly promoted team.
If he can keep this up for 1 season and so on, then we can hope for bigger things.

Torino is actually a solid team, in the 2 previous matches the other teams that played torino did not have a shot on goal. We scored twice.

Remember how Lucio, Rannochia and Chivu looked against Novara last year? A good performance in this league is a good performance...hopefully he can keep it up.

I'll play him over Samuel on any day. Jesus Samuel is so fuckin' slow. And his long ball just pisses me off.

Fucking retarded move not playing him tonight.

Don't give me no resting BS. We need fucking continuity. Chopping and changing is only going to fuck us in the ass.

That was my first reaction. But I think Strama chose to let Samuel ease back into the squad after his injury.

Perhaps Jesus should have played instead of Rano though, so he can keep up the momentum.

But Ranocchia and Juan BOTH need continuity. They both should have started against Rubin, and barring any extraordinary circumstances (like a fucking 2-2 draw), they both should start against Siena too.

He definitely should have played with Rano. They fucking need to gel and gain more confidence.

Agree, the defense should not be rotated at all, midfield and forwards is fine, but defense, no way in hell.

IMO this defense should play every freaking minute possible.

I would have done the same thing (starting with Rano - Juan) but I can understand and excuse Strama for picking Samuel. Walter is still, by reputation, our best defender and we need to give him match fitness too.

IF Juan and Rano play vs Siena, there would be a continuity. It's 3 games a week, so not only Samuel but Silvestre could have played as well for either of them both.
