As much as I love Jose and what he achieved for Inter, We are suffering today as a result of what he and the board did to achieve that amazing treble season ! The players that were brought into the side were purely to win in Europe. Inter has not created a dynasty with them players.

Of the CL winning team, 7 - 8 of these players will need to be replaced within this season or the next. Inter will receive very little in terms of money from any potential sale of these players and to replace them it will take a lot of time, development and money ! Although it's great what we achieved, we may very well be paying for it for a while yet !

Thank You Jose, But Inter now has a huge task of putting a squad together to challenge at home and in Europe. And it's not gonna be easy !

Well yes. I had raised this point last summer, that every bit of juice was extracted from our players in that season. Our board made a huge huge mistake in not building on that team. And Jose probably knew that there would be no investment and it would be impossible to get that aged squad to perform that well again and jumped ship.
