meh, just give him more chances. Even Dzeko was shit at his first year at Roma.

Inzaghi worked with him at Lazio so I hope he'll figure out how to use him

This is how he is, I don't think we should have expected anything else. He is brilliant in flashes, but not enough to be a starter.

And Zapata would have been fucking insane for us. I was crying out loud for him. 30m was a high price, but Zapata could still give us 3-4 great years.

Correa should be sold to Newcastle, it is clear he's the worst of our four strikers.

Did we seriously pay 30+ mils for this dude? Could've been the down payment for Vlahovic.

IMO he just looked rusty and for that lacked confidence. I expect he'll regain that back the more he plays. I don't think he's been a waste

We didn't pay 30 upfront tho
Yeah we pay Lazio 5m€ this year (after paying 5m€ for the loan), 10m€ 2023 and 10m€ 2024. AFAIK

As for the player, it really feels this guy needs to be a starter regularly if we want to get enough out of him. And I'm not sure can we afford it. It feels Correa just doesn't fit to our system too well. He's thriving when he has space to exploit with his dribbling but usually we face static defence blocks.

Use him more this spring, if it doesn't pan out, sell to La Liga for 20m€ next summer and replace with a more fitting player. I don't think we can afford to have Correa as a bench option with an only very occasional impact when used.

Uncharacteristically presumptuous of you Cafe. You know we have extreme difficulty selling unwanted players. There aren't many teams in La Liga who could afford him either.

In my opinion, he is better than Martinez tho.
Give him same minutes play same as Martinez plus penalty spot duty, surely he will surpass Martinez's goal tally for this season.

Lautaro does the dirty work that Correa doesn't. He's been one of our starters for more reasons than just scoring.

It's so silly that Martinez as our targetman, is incompetence in protecting the ball. His weakness leads him to fall down quite easily, but nowadays everyone already knows all his tricks and he couldn't stop embarassing himself yet. Correa can hold and dribble the ball way better . I haven't seen the data but i'm quite sure his goal conversion rate is better as well.

I was against this transfer cause i thought other strikers would hv a bigger impact, but i have to admit he won 4 POINTS for us this season, with 2 or 3 great individual plays. Those 2 games were screaming for a draw and we won. Can't remember the opponent
Give him some time, Lautaro and Correa didn't have enough playing time together to hv even a bit of chemistry atm

Hellas Verona and Udinese. He also had an assist against Napoli. But that's where his contribution ends. It's not nearly good enough from someone who cost 30m.

Based on what should he be given Lautaro's spot? Which part of Correa's game?

I am not that high tho, it easy to know who has been more effective and more involved so far between those two based on their stats, by putting concern on minutes play.

He also played very well vs Roma, added a lot of fluidity to our attack that game despite not getting a goal or an assist.

Anyway, he's just back from an injury and still finding his feet, let's not judge him too hard now.
