There’s no way in the current world that we’ll get 10million for him, even if there wasn’t a pandemic we still wouldn’t get 10mil for him.

5mil tops but I wouldn’t be surprised if we gave him a golden shower just to get fucking rid of him.

Worst transfer. Even worse than Gabigol, Kondogbia and Nainggolan.

Rumor: Sporting pay 10m for Joao Mario.

Reality: Inter pay Joao Mario to leave.

Worst transfer. Even worse than Gabigol, Kondogbia and Nainggolan.

Nainggolan refuses to play for us and scored the goal that cost us the league last season....

We pay his wages for 3 seasons and gave up our 2nd most promising player.

It was defiantly a high risk high reward that blew up in our face

Our worst transfer was defiantly Vidic

Joao Mario is not our worst transfer, is the worst transfer of the history of football.

Not for sporting. They got 40 million for him then get to loan him for free and not pay his full wages.

Was he worst signing than Quaresma? Or Mancini

There are many Inter transfers worse than Vidic. He probably doesn't even get in the top 10.

Bad transfers are one thing, transfers that set us back 5 years don't come every time. Vidic is one of those and possibly the worst of the lot based on that. We pretty much shot ourselves in the foot that summer and Vidic was the icing on the cake. With more prudent transfers and avoiding to get rid of players that we did not to get rid of (Cambiasso, Samuel in particular and of course sort of forcing Zanetti to retire), with just one quality addition we would have been far more relevant during the Thohir era.

We let Cambiasso go, replaced him with Medel for more money (8m + salary).
We let Samuel go, who didn't want that much money anyway, to get Vidic for a 5m (10m gross) salary.

Joao Mario/Gabriel Barbosa was also a disaster as we were penalized in Europe for a few years for that on top of everything else we endured before.

Vidic was earning 3.2m.

And Vidic didn't put you 5 years back. It was the whole transfer policy in that summer. And it certainly wasn't 5 years back. You had finished 9th in 2013. The first time we had a decent transfer policy under Thohir was in 2015/16.

True, but I think since we condensed everything in 2 years rather than the intended 3 (contract was from 2014 to 2017), it became almost 5m net per annum for 2 years.

The transfer policy was terrible. It's one thing to lower the curtain for a generation and another to emulate Sampdoria or Bologna within 2 months.

Many things went wrong from June 2010 and on, let it be

ABola reports that they would have offered 7m€ for Joao Mario and that Inter refused that offer.

While FCInter1098.it claims no offers have yet arrived but the mutual goal is to find a deal.

Makes sense. We'd have the right to ask for more if Sporting win their league.

And they know that we will take every offer. I don't expect us getting much more than those 7 millions.

I'm sure we will take what is offered if it's at least the book value he has left after this fiscal year.

ABola is not reliable when it comes to transfers, they´re just looking for headlines plus I´m not seeing Sporting go for João Mário before they pay for Porro who´s also on loan from City and is way more important for them.

They´ll probably sell Nuno Mendes and then try to make some signings and also try to hold Pedro Gonçalves, Palhinha and Nuno Santos but I don´t think they´ll be able to make N. Mendes stay another season.

João Mário is a shade of his former self, he made some good games recently but for me he is not even in the top 5 of their most important players, he´s mostly there cause he´s a man of the house and a very experienced player among lots of youth.

We're not going to be getting any transfer fee for him. He's either going to get loaned out next year to allow his contract to expire, or he will receive a golden handshake to fuck off.

These are still the facts, boys.
