Even though the deal is not concreate yet I decided to come here and just say a few things.. and the first thing I noticed is the amount of infiltrated accounts in this particular thread, from a particular club, creating new acounts and threads, conversations etc all for the sake of attempting to diminish the obvious talent and qualities of Joao Mario. It seems to me that it goes under the category for mental illness, even so they weap the words than in Portugal there are only 2 clubs and to a point, they are right. Maybe Inter was better off with newspaper sensation cover kid renato sancheseve though they are diferent types of players.. Nonetheless..


Second, Joao Mario is worth every cent, his price tag is one, and for this reason Sporting's President is in Italy himself, one things garanteed.. discounts have finished at Sporting, this dude has a firm pulse and breathes Sporting even through his pores, if the deal gets done im sure it's gunna be a good one for Sporting. My personal opinion naturally is that I would prefer to have him stay one more season with us, raise his salary etc, but it's alot of money but discounts are over.

Honestly, from Sporting I would only take 2 players for Benfica: Joao Mario and Slimani.

But, for more than 20M it is a mistake. You will get a good player, but it is super overpriced.

if both Slimani and JM are a mistake for more than 20M then please explain the Bayern deal with Sanchez.. btw a mistake for example would be Wolverhampton buying luisao for 15M at his age.. oh wait, didnt jorge mendes buy recently wolverhampton?.. ah ok my bad

As I've said before, J.Mário is a good player and had a great season in Portugal. But for that price, I honestly think you could have better solutions. I don't want you to think I'm biased, I would apreciate J.Mário leaving Sporting, but I really do think he is overpriced. But who knows, he might do better than expected. I just doubt it.
