Many people compare him with cordoba. I hope murillo will be so much better than cordoba. Because i dont rate cordoba highly, especially when i remember cordoba played as our regular cb.

Are you kidding me?
Cordoba was highly rated in his prime, labeled as the fastest center back in the world in his era, damn you missed lot of Inter games.

Yeah seriously if he turns out to be nearly the player cordoba was i ll be more then happy. Imho cordoba was absolute worldclass in his prime and sadly underrated by so many. Anyway anybody doubting cordobas class go and watch our cl game at Anfield in 08 and tell me again how he was not a class player.

Also sorry for the offtopic

Murillo:Me and Miranda will form a wall at Inter. We know each other from La Liga,we will impress at Inter"

:slick:

Lol I wonder what Ranocchia thinks after reading this. Seriously though, what do you guy think will happen? Will we really bench our main captain? Or he will still start our games? Or someone else will take the armband?

Well ideally who ever is still here when the season is over needs to fight for that cb starting spot with no guarantees to anybody. I really dont see rannochia as enough influential on the pitch to simply give him a guaranteed starting spot just coz he s our captain.

When it comes down to the captains armband imho Handa should get it, not because i think he ll be a great captain but because IMO he s the only experienced player who has a guaranteed starting spot next season and did not just join the team. If palacio stilll was a sure starter i d give it to him but i doubt that will be the case next season.

We should sell Ranocchia and run with the money we get tbh. We're stealing if we get some money from him.

If we sell Ranocchia, that means Guarin becomes captain, right?

How about the prodigal son, Davide Santon? I mean, he was predestined to inherit zanetti's armband before he left, amirite?

This, I think if we keep Ranocchia is going to be good for him having to fight for that starting spot.

But the idea of having Guarín as our captain most of the matches... just yikes. .-.

There are a lot of aspect relating the best cb, speed is only one of them.

Do you remember inter arsenal 1-5? Cordoba was good cb, but for me he was not "so worldclass". Even in his prime. Just compare him in his prime with maldini, thuram or samuel in their prime. cordoba had speed, good tackle, and deadly head but still not enough for me. Inter didnt achieve anything with him as our main cb. Then samuel came, and we could win something. Watching him and matrix as pair on our defense make me headache.

And for murilo i hope he will be in maldini, samuel or thuram level. Not in cordoba level.

Was the match at Anfield in '08 not a 3-0 loss?

2-0. Then we lost 1-0 at the Meazza to go out 3-0 on aggregate :palm:

At least Mancini can't embarrass us the Champions league.

Best thing about Córdoba. He retired once he wasn't a starter any more. Went I have made enough money I am out. I am not fast any more.

Unlike the other 32+ year olds here who just made us go bankrupt

Liverpool scored both goals after Cafe got injured in the 70th min. We were already down to 10 men since the 10 min. Cordoba was WORLD CLASS.

Yeah it was a loss at anfield! But we were down a man and cordoba was the one keeping the 0:0 with putting up an incrdible fight! And as soon as he got injured we conceded! Anyway i dont know why but whenever i think about cordoba this match comes to mind as one of his finest performaces!

Cordoba played CB for us in time when Juve cheated big time so refs allways punished him in 50-50 situations. There was a reason why even Canavaro failed in Inter and become fucking Beckenbauer in Juve.

LOL @ Cordoba comparisons.

Man, we will be lucky if he is 1/3 the player Córdoba was. In the mean time, let's agree that he seems to be a player that has potential and definitely should be entering the prime of his career. I'm hoping for the best!
