I remember Javier playing shacky at times last season, and I was worried he is on the road to a retirement.

But this season, especialy in second half of the season, he was amazing. Rarely was beaten, and although he doesn't have the pace as in old days, and quick wingers sometimes expose this, he is really a monster at the end of this season.

Running all the game, covering spaces, and fighting like a lion.

ps. Don't know how much influence in this, has the fact we didn't see Capitano in midfield for a long, long time
