The life and career of ex-Inter captain Javier Zanetti has been pictured in a biographical film that is soon to hit Italian cinemas.
The release of the film, which goes by the name of Dock Sud Story, is scheduled for February. “The exact date is not yet set as the intended one – February the 23rd – interferes with Inter’s away trip to Cagliari, but the film will surely be aired shortly after that”, Corriere dello Sport reported. The current Inter vice-president, who has recorded songs with Italian singer Mina Mazzini as well as featured in several television adverts, has also begun a career as a professional actor since he is featuring heavily in the latter parts of the film.
The directors are Simone Scafidi and Carlo Sigon, but the production also involved Luchino Visconti di Modrone, a relative of the famous Luchino Visconti who was a founder of Italian Neorealism. Some scenes were recorded in Argentina and others in Italy. In 80 minutes, Zanetti’s story is recalled through interviews with old team mates, coaches, journalists and personalities from the world of show business, including Argentinian author Albino Guaron who has dedicated his latest novel to the Inter legend”.
