Yeah I must admit he suprises me especially this season, so credits for him. Would I like to keep him? And 5M is a big paycheck but as Glass Box mentions. If we don't renew we have to spend money +salary and don't know how the player will perform. With Perisic we know what we get and I don't see him declining much in the coming 2,5 year.

According to Schira's tweet which I posted above, Inter is planning to offer a contract with lowered wage, from 5M to 3,5-4M which might not be a decent option for Pero given the interest from PL teams.

Dont mind low balling him a bit, lets face it we ve shopped him around for two summers and nobody wanted him. Imho it s all down to perisic if he wants to play at a top club and fight for titles he ll sign with us cause i dont see another top team coming for him.
On the other hand if he wants to fullfill his dream of playing in the PL and make more cash he ll find some PL team that will offer him more money than us.

Imho it all comes down to wether he wants to earn more or have another shot at wining something in a big league. If he wants to get a shot at more trophies i think we re his best shot.

He might be slightly done with trophies, having won treble with Bayern and scudetto with us. Time to snatch that last fat contract and just chill. We on the other hand need champions in the team. For that matter I would want us to extend Vidal too, of course on lower salary than he has now.

I think this is the ideal scenario at this point. Dimarco deserves to stay in the squad but he can be used as a LCB back up if we can sign Kostic and keep Perisic. Kolarov should be the one to leave.

2 years doesn't sound bad, even with those numbers. I feel Perisic can maintain his level for that time, I'd say even easily.

Thing is this won't help us reducing salaries
