Perisic is right footed. Just saying.
I also am right footed but felt it'd be cool to use my left foot when I was playing back in school. I was pretty good at it, shot fk's, pk's, corners, one on ones and crosses with my left most of the time for at least 2-3 years as the games we played were purely for fun or simply pick up games in the neighborhood. People started to think I was left footed and they'd be pissed to see me miss a chance with my right foot and yelled at me for using it
If Perisic has the same mindset at this point, well that's fucked up because he's a pro , but I get that he managed to become really good with both. Not sure if it's hard of if some people have a 'knack' for it, as I've done the same with writing (and I have terrible handwriting so using my left was actually refreshing for my teachers as it was more legible ). Most people I know never really tried it so can't tell if someone has to have the talent or simply the persuasion to try it. Ivan Perisic has whatever this is and we should be glad.
Interestingly, the players with this skillset if we can call it that in the last x years were Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo, Brehme - maybe 1-2 others - and also some who were confident using the 'wrong foot' like Cruz, Martins, Seedorf, Figo, Jugovic, Djorkaeff, Stankovic etc. Can't think of many shit players we've had that could use both feet at a great level. Some full backs may come to mind but it's usually because they're sort of forced to make a quick pass or cross and it happens to be on their weaker foot. Same happens with our right football full backs from the left and with Candreva with his left from the right. Doesn't mean they can be very effective with it.
