Cassano to start? I prefer Gilardino or even Del Piero

from your 23 member squad, I will kick out Abbiati & Delpiero. The biggest mistake Lippi can make is to take Della boy to WC. He has always done shit for the azurri team and always will. Replace these two, with Peruzzi and Iquainta or maybe Todo if he gets playing time.

And from the starting XI, Kick out Cassano and play Gilardino, he is awesome and play Grosso instead of Bonera

As good as Toni is at the moment, no one can score goals for Italy better than Vieri. No one.

I don't care if he goes the whole season with 1 goal for Milan, he still deserves a shot at the Azzuri because he has contributed so much and remains to this day as the Italian player with most goals for his country.

Why on earth would Grosso play right back and Zambrotta left back?

Totti should not be in the team, as shown in their game against Holland. Toni, Gilardino and Cassano have enough power to win matches.

And how anyone can possibly pick Vieri over any striker, let alone TONIGOL!! is beyond me, but with Miike, anything is possible.

HAHAHHAHHA!!! F-cking comedian this guy! :howler:

Did I say I picked Vieri over Toni?

No, I put Vieri/Toni, then again leave it to you to start an arguement.

Someone proves you wrong and you probably won't sleep at night, the catanha way or the highway, right?

Degenerate prick :finger:

Did you even watch Italy-Ivory Coast? Because if you did you would see that Toni played a pretty shitty game which makes me question his consitency.

The guy's netting goals against shitty teams and already he's the FIFA World Player Of The Year 2006 to some people.

Vieri hardly plays for Milan, but I know that if you play him in the WC he will not disappoint.

Don't waste my time.

Miike, I agree with you a lot but do you honestly think Vieri would do better than Rigano, let alone Toni!

Fabio :)

The last time I saw the real Vieri play was at the end of last season for us, and he was on fire.

This Vieri that we see now that gets subbed on when there's 5 minutes left is a frustrated one and a Vieri that doesn't get his real chance. Yet he gets harshly criticized.

All I'm saying is if Lippi would've played Vieri for a few more WCQ then he would've seen that he's still a great player.

Toni and Vieri are very similar players and if there's going to be someone that replaces Toni out there then it's Vieri.

Well at least in my eyes it is.

catanha: Vieri/Toni doesn't mean Vieri > Toni :wallbang:

With all due respect...who cares for a friendly against the Ivory Coast and who in his right mind would prefer an useless Bobo over the incredible Luca Toni...the guy who has everything Vieri only had at his best and has an attitude Vieri didn't even have at his best.

And I'm stil for Lucarelli for Gli Azzuri...to finally have a soft spot for them. Lucarelli-Toni = Tuscany bombers

I am really a big Vieri fan ever, but on his current form, even I have to admit that he is going to be useless for Azurri's. Mike, Vieri has been given a fair chance by Ancelotti, but he keeps o missing the easiest of goals. Milan may even Loan him out to Espanyol or Betis in January.

And Toni is on song, his goal agaisnt the dutch side was simply amazing, he even had a hatrick against Belarus. And He scored 2 Goals agaisnt Milan, 15 goals already, he looks certain to win Uefa's Golden boot this season.

Gilardino & Toni are by far our best patnership upfront, and I have high expectations from both of them for the next WC.

Ancelotti giving Vieri chances like being subbed on at the 85th minute? Hell, even Superplastic Inzaghi started a few games.

Toni is in incredible form right now and is going to have the best few seasons of his life (if he is injury-free which I somewhat hope) but I still would consider Vieri at least a substitute for Germany 06.

I think Lippi shud take one of the quicker strikers like Inzaghi or Montella ... too many targetman. And Vieri's current form is pathetic.
