Only Sassuolo could beat Juve and Inter....and then lose to Monza without scoring a goal.

I watched only the first half, but Di Gregorio was great. Gagliardini gifted the ball once, which almost caused a goal for Sassuolo.

Di Gregorio is the GK Inter expected Radu to become. It's a huge miss from the club to lose him for just 4 millions. Easily one of the best GKs in the league.

The thing is that we donate points to Sassuolo so they can stay in Serie A, 🤷‍♂️

Imagine if we commited to Dybala, brought Thuram the next season and also maybe kept one of our promising strikers as the fourth option. Now that sounds like a Scudetto worthy side to me.
This game gets dangerous. Imagine we sold Lukaku and kept Hakimi.

Since we are at this, might as well we didn't buy Correa and Sensi was never injured and Erickson never had a heart problem, the loan fee and wages of Lukaku was used on Enzo Fernandez before he got WC famous and we developed Carboni to be the next Messi already ...

Nah, even if that happened, somebody else would be sold sooner or later since we have money problems.

Dybala is the best player we were linked for "free" and I'll forever be sad about not getting him.

Not even close, Hakan and Mkhitaryan have been better than Dybala. Thuram is on the right track to outperform Dybala too.

The problem with Dybala is that he's too moody and consistently prone to injuries. Lukaku instead of Dybala didn't work out too well in the end but it was the right decision at the time, a calculated risk I'd say.

The only thing we missed last year was swapping Skriniar for Bremer. I'm not saying this because Skriniar eventually left for free, I actually thought Bremer was worth as much as Skriniar last year (younger, recently voted best defender in SA, longer contract, much lower wages...). I expected Marotta to pull the trigger on Skriniar since he tended to be brutally pragmatic with players, but we were probably too attached to a player who would have been a legend for us.

If Handanović and Brozović are Inter legends, so are Perišić and Skriniar IMO

I have no problem saying Skriniar has been mostly a legendary player for us

You're throwing the term legendary too liberally.

Handanović is legendary because of his years of service, as one of the best in his position in the world, and because he managed to win something at the end of the day. If he didn't have a Scudetto it'd be hard to call him "legend".

Perisic, Skriniar and Brozovic haven't been around as much to get to this status. They have won as much as Handanovic give or take, but Handanovic isn't our legend due to his trophycase.

The fact that he retired after us and hasn't joined other teams is an added plus. Or better, it's a negative for the other three.

Cordoba, Stankovic etc also get their status enhanced because they retired here. Whereas Samuel and Cambiasso played for a couple more seasons at other clubs (Cuchu in particular has gotten a big taint on his cv after us). Milito on the other hand went to his home club so that's entirely in a different light.

It's like Palacio. He's by no means a legend at Inter. Whereas Julio Cruz probably is.

Which reminds me, I'll probably get a few people on board to build up a "hall of fame" kind of thing based on a set of fixed and some fluid parameters and see how it goes and put it up for discussion :)
Plus an excel table just to see if we can quantify this, because why not?

Care to elaborate? Because he played in lowly EPL for a season and all of a sudden his rapport is tainted?

Cambiasso also played a season in Greece for Olympiakos.

What's the problem with that? Legend has to retire at his club?

Celebrating offside goals and wins by illicit means like there was no tomorrow wasn't very Cambiasso-like. Yet there he was...
