Yeah it was strange from the beginning for me that as if Napoli/ADL wouldn't demand some compensation from Juve if they want to hire people from Napoli. I mean that there wasn't any rumors of any compensation being paid.

High level executives usually have non compete clause in their contract. The compensation is probably to persuade the other party to waive this clause.

You probably have the clause in your contract too, just that companies more often than not don't care/want to enforce the clause.

Well, we have useless Correa and aging Dzeko. Gabbi is 31 and getting relegated. There would be no guarantee that Sampdoria will make it back for 24/25 season. Most players have release clauses in case of relegation. He could be very cheap and quality option for Lautaro-Lukaku back up.
That's if Lukaku stays.
