I agree Chelsea totally got over on them on that deal. Plenty of other players that could have gotten for similar money.

It's always like that imo. Look at salernitana, obi and belec are playing for them ffs. That tells you everything you need to know about their vision, scouting or money they have.

He's been okay in the 2nd half, after Roma scored. Completely off the picture in the first half.

He's talented but his cost made no sense.

As for Isak @thatdude, the release clause is irrelevant, as he was available but then decided to stay at Sociedad. It's not as if this was a window where clauses were hit, market doesn't operate that way. Clauses are typically used when teams are reluctant to sell but players push for it. Pellegrini still has a 30m clause iirc and no one triggered it because he has no intention of leaving. Isak was allegedly available for 40m from what I've been hearing, but no one offered that and then I think he even signed an extension. Tottenham was considering him in case Kane would leave but no one with 40m made an effort to go for a striker.

Then Roma ended up with Abraham. They could have tried to get Jovic on a loan deal, try to get Belotti with 20m, try to get Kalajdzic, go for Caputo perhaps. It just looks like a very odd deal to me.

@brehme. Its been 2 games in Serie A. 2 assist and a goal. What did you expected 5 goals ? The big austrian has only height , nothing else, Tammys technical abilities will send that guy to the moon. They chased Belotti many years, but skipped, as most Serie A sides. Caputo is quality , but not a profile they're after, older. Isak, as mentioned, is too costly. Everyone is looking Lukaku like players, because its working.

Abraham has pace, he moves and links so well, can even dribble as a 1.95 man. Mentality is strong. The guy will explode here.
