I doubt Sarri can be worse than Allegri.

I don't understand what was so bad about Allegri. He did achieve more than most coaches in the last 5 years and it isn't all blind luck.

His teams played ugly football so people panic. It's hilarious really. He's a good tactical mind.

Heard he said something like if he knew he’d be left out of the CL squad, he would’ve left the club.

In a German paper he said that there was an offer from PSG and he would have left, if Juventus wouldn't had assured him, that he will play in CL.

“I will always be grateful to Juventus Turin and how they supported and stood by me since I am part of the club, particularly during my time of illness. Out of respect to Juventus and my team mates, whose success has always been my first priority, I won’t say anything more and will continue fighting on the pitch.

Yours, Emre”

Looks like he’s trying to defuse the situation (for now) but there’s also an Icardi-esque lack of an apology :einstein:

Even before this Emre Can situation I didn’t feel like there was any worrying “issues” at juve. People have been talking about their so-called failures in the market such as failing to sign Guardiola, Icardi, the failure to sell Dybala, losing Kean, that retarded Cancelo-Danilo swap etc. But I think it’s all a bit premature tbh.

I do agree their mercato was a bit of a shambles but the important thing is that they’ve still got too much quality in their side. Personally I suspect Ramsey, Danilo and Rabiot won’t even play much. I think the same Matuidi, Pjanic, Khedira midfield of last season will be first choice and that they’ll win the league comfortably anyway. Thanks, Kalidou.

Still, one can always hope for some insane Sarri - juve meltdown / incompatibility.

Oh, and Allegri is stupidly underrated and under appreciated. Yes, his football is trash to watch but he’s very solid tactically and super pragmatic IMO. I feel like he would’ve been a really good move for Milan if he had any interest in their rebuilding project.

Allegri has for sure interest. He was sitting near Galliani Maldini and Boban at Milan-Brescia. Poor Giampaolo, i hope Allegrii sends this club in Serie B, ridiciolous.

I also hope he goes back to Milan so we actually can see what he is made of and once and for all another fucking Italian overrated player/coach will be brought back to earth.

He at least made 2 CL finals and generally performed way better in CL than our 10M+ mister.

Allegri is a very, very good counter tactician and game planner. May not be the best motivator though.

I said since the first day Allegri joined Rube, that Conte had been holding that team massively in Europe and they would do great in CL. Conte just doesn't play modern football.

Allegri managed to defeat Barca in their prime with Boateng and El Shaarawy at home.

I think it has more to do with formations with wingers catching the 3-5-2 out in transition. 3-5-2 leaves you one on one with a 4-3-3 in transition until a wingback can cover. Top teams exploit that.

Give Conte the player that Juve has now and then we see. He had a good midfield with Pirlo and Vidal and also a good defence yes, but there was a lot to improve on the wings and the forward. Allegri had so much quality in the team. And still managed to lose against Ajax.

yet conte's chelsea could only muster up impressive games against qarabag, couldn't beat Roma in 2 attempts (humiliated by EDF 3-0), then got ko'd by farca at the first ko round.

Stop making excuses for conte

he still won the EPL with Chelsea. If we talk about trophies Allegri won nothing, only Serie A. He was 2 times in the CL final? Ok, but how many attempt he had? with a team like that from Juve it's not impossibile to reach the final 2 times in 6 years. Winning is something else.

Well, to get to CL final two times is a massive achievement. Losing the final is not a proof of being a poor manager or team. It's just a one match in a given season. But getting to that match is a proof of a great manager and team.

Buffon, Barzagli, Chiellini, Bonucci, Lichtenstein, Asamoah, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba, etc... Yeah he had it real tough.

Conte can coach that 3-5-2 and nothing else. He is as rigid as Mazzari. His main skill is motivating players, which granted is a very good skill, but do not mistake that for tactical ingenuity.

Thanks for letting me know that motivated players can produce well-drilled attacking/pressing patterns themselves without tactical ingenuity.

Tactics change game to game, and even within the game itself. What you're thinking of is a strategy, and as I said, he can only coach that 3-5-2. He can do that well, but sometimes, especially against face paced wingers, you need to change up the gameplan.

I'd rather have a manager who knows only one formation but knows it very fucking well, instead of one who is very flexible but not a master of any.

If it was up to you then, we would have never won the treble.
