Maybe, but I doubt it. It's difficult to imagine this team with Sneijder, Milito, Lucio, Pandev, Motta etc being weaker with Ibra in the lineup instead of Eto'o. Understand that when Ibra left we basicly incorporated 5 new players to our starting lineup, it's not the same brick midfield from past season anymore. Our attackers get a lot more help now compared to the Ibra-Adriano days. But, anyways, it doesn't really matter now.

The League's disciplinary commissioner has fined Roma captain Francesco Totti for making a provocative gesture towards the Lazio fans after Sunday's derby.

Totti held his arms aloft and repeatedly pointed his thumbs down, intimating that he wants Lazio to be relegated this season.

The 33-year-old talisman will now have to pay a €20,000 fine, although he escapes suspension.

Lazio's Mauro Zarate and Roberto Baronio were also given fines after their actions following the final whistle.

Stefan Radu wasn't punished despite being at the heart of a fight at the end of the match.

Francesco Totti believes he was fined for making a thumb gesture aimed at Lazio fans after Sunday's derby purely because he is a Roma player.

The 33-year-old walked towards the Curva Sud where Roma's fans sit following his side's 2-1 victory over Lazio on Sunday.

He then held his arms aloft and pointed his thumbs down, suggesting that he would like to see Lazio relegated this season.

The League's disciplinary commissioner fined Totti €20,000, something he feels to be unfair as such gestures are part of the derby.

“I will not launch an appeal, but the sentence is unjust. I made the same gesture in the first derby this season and no one did anything,” Totti said.

“Instead this time they make me pay €20,000: €10,000 for each thumb. Instead they didn't do anything to Radu.

“His gesture was much worse than mine. It's the same old story. It's because of the shirt that I wear. It's because it's yellow and red.

“If I score in Udine [tonight] I will make a big belly gesture [suggesting he's pregnant]. Joking aside, Ilary has not said anything to me.”
