I don't think the most obvious ones, such as Samuel, Lucio and Cambiasso can outlast Zanetti as an important starting player. If this happens, Cambiasso will obviously be a stop-gap captain. For the long term, I just don't know. I don't see too much leadership in our young players. Although I do believe they will step up, when the commanding old guard fades away. That's how it always goes.

Zanetti's contract expires in 2013, by then expired contracts of Cordoba, Samuel and Maicon and a year after it expired and J.Cesar, Lucio, Cambiasso and Stankovic, all of them in old age to renew so that Inter should look good for its new captain.
Someone will be in a good age (to stay for years captain,like Zanetti).
Someone who will have the respect from all his teammates (Be leader)
Someone who will not easily injured (not to change captain in each match)
And much more!

I think Ranocchia has everything team need, and so did Faraoni, maybe in the future turn and Santon if he be a greater level player, to see how it evolved Juan and Poli or another player that will come with transcription.

None of these men even have the heart to be a captain.. None of these men look like they even play for anything more than their paycheck.. I would like a guy like Palombo though to be it. Someone who would feel losses the way we do. Someone who would cry for this team.. some one who would at least have to the courtesy to make an appeal to the fans to stay with the team, keep backing the team, etc.. we have none of that, instead we have diplomats..
