Well… watching SKY news the latest on this matter is that we are reconsidering our decision. In few minutes time they will have some live feedback from our clubs representatives.
Also They just had a phone conversation with Leicester’s chairman and he also said that they are considering taking legal actions / compensation against us as they have sold up to 30k tickets.

Was listening to Sky News and the English Sports Minister has confirmed that the games are back on. All is good, except that the stupid man said "they're a great side, and everyone knows them from that night against Liverpool in Istanbul".

If someone offered me a ticket to London NOW, I sure as hell know I would decline it.

These are all people with families, so I can understand why they hesitate to go to a city that is currently under uncertainty.

Some people living in London felt just like that, and went to Cairo... That just shows you how pointless this way of thinking is.

Well, the games are back. That's a good thing, I suppose. Just hope there'll be no bombings when our players are there. Actually, I hope there would be no further bombings, ever, for that matter.

Inter.it haven't said anything but here's what I found
  • Inter have tour re-think
    Sunday 24 July, 2005
Inter’s pre-season tour of England is back on after the Italian outfit opted to reconsider their decision to cancel.

The Nerazzurri yesterday decided to scrap their trip amid security fears following the recent London bombings.

But after being widely criticised for pulling out of the event, they will now begin their tour as previously scheduled.

"I can officially confirm the tour is on as scheduled," Giancarlo Aragona, Italy's ambassador to Britain, told Reuters on Sunday. "The team is leaving for the UK."

Sports minister Richard Caborn has also confirmed the news after he held talks with Italian sports minister Mario Pescante.

"Pescante spoke to the Italian Football Association and they made representations to Inter," said Caborn.

"They came back saying all things being equal the tour would be on this morning. They're flying out on Sunday."

The San Siro giants will play Leicester on Monday, Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Norwich on Friday and Portsmouth on Sunday.

Inter’s initial decision to pull-out was not welcomed by all of the aforementioned clubs.

Leicester were assessing the possibility of seeking compensation seeing as they could have lost as much as £250,000.

Crystal Palace also threatened to take legal action, while Portsmouth had already sold close to 13,000 tickets for their game.

    (channel4)
The positive note would be that we would regain back, albeit not all, the support of the Interisti in England. The negative note would be that some of the players would be forced to be a part of this tour. Also, our club would look like idiots and a bunch of flip-flops.

22 July: We will honour our commitment
23 July: Tour is cancelled because of safety reasons
24 July: Tour is back on

Ah well! ;)

Afternoon guys, looks like the games are back on.

Well done, it is the correct decision.

I will apologise for the GB Sports Minister, he is an idiot, he supports the same team as I do.

Frisko - Sheffield-UK - I am in Worksop and support the mighty Blades who at the moment are taking China by storm - not.

I will check back in the season guys to see how you are doing against the 5 english teams in the champion league.

Cheers for now :)

It's been confirmed by inter.it.
  • FACCHETTI: "INTER ARE GOING TO ENGLAND"
    Sunday, 24 July 2005 15:45:46
MILAN - As anticipated by the club's owner and Roberto Mancini last night, president Giacinto Facchetti has announced that the team will leave for England. "I can confirm that the team will leave to honour the commitments made with the English organisers," Facchetti said.

Haha I heard that as well :D . I couldn't really understand what he was saying though as he had a strange accent. Thanks for confirming that is what he actually said ;) .

You going to any of the games? If so have you got tickets?

Finally great news ..... Everyone has their own views and Inter had their own. You can't force anyone, even though it seems that it has just been done in a different way.

But last but not the least, great that the tour is gonna happen.

Too bad our squad for the tour is a joke. Ofcourse it's good for the youngsters, but still, I was hoping to see the real Inter.

Goalkepers: Julio Cesar, Bindi, Ciceri

Defenders: Favalli, Materazzi, Mihajlovic, Zé Maria , Wome, Arrieta, Bonucci, Giani, Fautario

Midfielders: Stankovic, Karagounis, Pizarro, Solari, Belaid, Maa Boumsong, Semenzato

Strikers: Choutos, Momentè, Martins

This is hard to take, I booked my holidays around this friendly - and now this. Maybe something could have been done, but Inter didn't want to take the risk.....so I guess I respect that.

FORZA INTER!
