I'm looking at some stats right now and I feel it's worth noting that both Nico and Hakan are sitting on 4 yellows right now with the back-to-back Fiorentina and Juve games in the near future (and away to Monza next week probably isn't a walk in the park either). I can't remember whether the yellow card counter "resets" itself after the halfway point or not...if it does, then we've got nothing to worry about, but if it doesn't, then we're walking a tight rope here. We probably can't expect to win at Fiorentina or against Juve without those two available.

Also, for that matter, I can't decide whether I'm now strangely thankful for the Supercoppa or not...our next four games were set to be @Monza, Atalanta, @Fiorentina, Juventus...I don't mind having that Atalanta game kicked down the road to where it's now a home game between games against Lecce and Genoa instead. If we lose the Lazio game, who cares, at least it doesn't affect the table at all. The downside is that it almost guarantees we go into the Juve game trailing them in the table even if we go 6/6 in the next two games...@Salernitana, Sassuolo, @Lecce, Empoli...pillow soft schedule ahead for i ladroni.

There is no reset in the league. Both will need to be very careful.

We have been winning a lot comfortably for quite sometime. Winning in Pazza Inter style in a long time is not that bad.

Don't have one.
ok, i take it back. The Bastoni foul and this pretty much erase themself. Fair result.

You are doing too much mental gymnastic with all of this fair and square bullshit. The only people who should be obsessed with that are juve fans, given their history and well-earned guilt trip they should have.

With everyone else, refs make favorable and non-favorable decisions. It's the part of the game despite var. Other fans that are complaining about it are just frustrated we rarely drop points, so they lash out on every single detail. The most important thing is that there is no maliciousness like in the good old days or else verona wouldn't have gotten a penalty in 95 min. I would even say italian refs are doing a decent job all things considered, especially if we compare them with english refs. That league with all the money in the world has one of the worst referees in europe.

After this game, anyone who dares to say we are helped by refs need to be told to fuck off
Milanisi did it.
They say that the referees helped us because there was an elbow by Bastoni for our 2nd goal and that Sommer wasn't on the goal line when Anre took the penalty.
They complain for some foul of Bisseck against Genoa as well as some other shits.

Objectively, I don't think there was a foul that warrants a goal disqualification. I definitely think that if it was the other way around, neither team would get a penalty kick for this thing. I understand those who think so, but the goal against Genoa with Bisseck's foul was much more borderline for me.

My main conclusion from this all thing is that Bastoni, who should already be an experienced player with added value to the team, is still a child who could have cost us an important victory.

I couldn't watch the game live, just watched the highlights. It was a crazy game; I'm kinda glad I didn't watch it because I would have had a heart attack. The way Arna jumped and his blocking on the opponent's goal was insane. Also, the chances Barella and Sanchez screwed up made me so pissed off.
We were totally lucky, but we can't play like this—screwing up chances and winning by only one goal more.

I rewatched it from 65` onwards.

Have to say we are really really lucky to survive with 3pts. Henry´s pen was perfect, a little fake step and Yann was already sleeping in the other side, but the nerazzurri gods were high on octane this afternoon.

Inzaghi was saved from humiliation too. Our players better learn from this.

Can`t let Allegri in your head or any other disgusting rubentino who is working for italian sports papers.
