You guys we just won today 4-3. Reading some posts on here it seems like we lost 3-4 after going 3-0 up.

It's disappointing that a 10 men Tottenham managed to score 3 at our home, but it's not a sad result. We got the 3 points which is the most important thing. Number of goals does not matter AT ALL in the group stages. I'd be bugged if this was a knock out match, but this is a good result since we got the 3 points comfortably.

lol. In the inter.it ratings everyone in the back got the worst ratings except Samuel. Fair enough I think. ;)

Well 4-0 up, a player more and complete control off the game. Ben gives his touch too the game with a few changes that were beyond me and vola Spurs get 3 goals with a player less.

Benitez is a fucking idiot plain and simple. Its Mancinis Inter all over again. Hope he finishes this year and we get Hiddink next year before he fucks the team even more if Moratti decides to buy players for his taste.

Wow, this must be one of the most anti-Inter threads in a while. I think I read someone say they'd rather lose than concede three goals to 10 men.

Yes, that was me & I fuckin' meant it. Let the facts go through your head once again & you might understand where my statement came from:

1. Leading by 4 goals
2. Playing against 10 men with their goalee sent off & not just some dude
3. Playing in your own home in front of your fans in a CL game.

As I said, in my post any attempt to justify or make tonight's bullshit look harmless, is the biggest mistake we can ever make. The reigning European champion, with all those badges on the shirt, isn't simply in the position to let such an embarrassment happen in the most prestigious European football competition.

I don't care about how brilliant we played in the 1st half & I take a dump on those 4 goals we scored. You know, most of the days we don't leave the pitch in the 1st half with 4 goals in our pocket. What would you do then?!

Tonight's 3 points is the most embarrassing points we got ever. It's so shameful I don't even want it. Fuck this, God I'm angry...

First half was amazing, but we must take into account that Tottenham lost their keeper. Still pretty good performance.

Then 2nd half happened. We went to bed. Our players were not thinking about the game, they had their minds set elsewhere. Probably Benitez as well.

As a team, we are used to comebacks, but when we lead big and there's another team that tries to comeback, we drink from our own poison.

Hopefully they find a solution to that. I don't really mind conceding the same goal twice, but that 3rd goal with 1-2 minutes left made me rethink and consider what an epic disaster it would have been to be able to finish off a game with 6-0 at half and instead draw 4-4 against a team that was with 10 men after 2-0 and a 4-0 lead.

Lovely performance by Coutinho. Amazing prospect.
Biabany was very good in his role. Not exceptional, but he made full use of the plays he was given, like the penalty.
Sneijder was everywhere once more.
Eto'o played nice as well, combined well with Maicon at times.
Stankovic was the best player on the field until Coutinho and an ankle(?) injury took over.
Zanetti, love him, but his bad combining with Maicon in defense caused us 3 goals.

As for Bale, good player, yes.
Full back? No
Winger? No
Attacking wing back? Yes

Is there a place for him at Inter? Not with the midfielders or defenders we have. If we're gonna spend a fortune of a left wing back, Juan Manuel Vargas >>>>> Gareth Bale, all the way ;)

Lenny so a 4-3 is better than a 4-0?

If experiments are to be done they should be done on the training ground not in a CL game against probably our toughest opponent in the group. The only positive is that we will now be concentrated for the 90mins at Spurs so that part of your post is spot on.

For a neutral it is...

But seriously, of course not. All I'm suggesting is that it is not the end of the world like people are suggesting. Look at the goals, and the first two are virtually identical. Sure its stupid that we conceded like that, but it also suggests that when you shut down their wingers their not as effective.

I suppose its just disheartening that everyone feels the need to abuse the team/coach after a win which involved some pretty spectacular football. These people saying that the media will now laugh at us and praise Tottenham, please you don't need to read the papers for that- its happening right here.

People obviously have the right to their opinions and can criticize the team when they feel, but some of the posts on here wouldn't look out of place in a Milan forum.

That just doesn't make sense to me at all.

Playing against english teams is always a nightmare out of nowhere. The way they turn back the results is absolutely unique and their goals are even more odd! I'm not sure if anyone has ever witnessed 3 fucking goals exactly the same in one match from a 10 men team. This has become like a habit for me now to see this from english teams. They look like shit for a whole match and then finish the match like champions! I really can't get what's the fucking formula about them! Anybody?!

Some posters just get emotionally and irrational after games. They vent/rant here. I don't think it really reflects how they feel after processing the game.

At the end a win is a win and I will always take that even if I am disappointed with the second half performance. But we saw this vs palermo, chievo and to some extent vs milan last year so its not isolated to rafa as some want to think.

Yeah, (& I challenge anybody in being as crazy, diehard Inter fan as I've been & will be forever) because if this is how you wanna win the CL again, I'd rather don't win. Last year among others we fucked the English champion, the Spanish champion & the German champion & then we were proudly crowned as the king. Still everybody was saying: Barca this, Barca that, Barca the best club in the world, Barca invincible.

Now if this is the way you guys can still be happy with this win, then I'm really sorry. You know why? Because we are no fuckin' Bayern who craps in their own stadium & only wins because the other team is a fuckin' idiot who keeps scoring in the wrong goal. And afterwards everybody is happy & cheers that they've won the game.

That's not who we are!!! Jeez, is this a Milanese thing? Speaking of CL final Milan 3-4 Liverpool.

lol i can't believe so many people are pissed even though we won

and i don't know why people are shocked, this happens almost every time we get a huge lead early in the match, last season it was against palermo and chievo

I respect your enthousiasm in supporting Inter and I can understand people's dissapointment with our bad performance in the second half, but c'mon man. Are you seriously saying you would have rather lost than won because of the way we conceded those goals? Stop talking BULLSHIT. We lost focus and conceded stupidly, but we still won. What matters are the results and we've always been a results-first team.

People on this forum need to just GTFO and stop complaining about everything, when we lose you complain, when we win you complain.. Whining too much is something a bitch does.

Well, if I have to chose, then I will chose to win CL over style of win...

A Liverpool fan here, since we are not in the Champions League I set my heart on Inter is my favorite team in this year's competition.

I watched tonight's game and having watched Rafa closely I can assure you that he raped the players in the dressing room after the game. And he would have done so even if you had conceded just the one goal. Because there are two things Rafa detests and that is 1) Conceding goals. 2) And not finishing off chances.

But you have to put things in perspective, your first half performance was Barce like. That Stankovic goal was magic. And after a performance like that and a scoreline like this, most players just take their foot of the pedal and consider it game over. Look at Barce in that season they won 6 trophies and were annihilating everyone. How many goals did they score in the 1st half? and how many in the 2nd? It is normal what happened in tonight's game. You conceded 3 goals because you scored 4 and didn't care. But seeing the look on Rafa's face I have a feeling this will be the last time the players do that.

So in conclusion your performance should be divided into technical and mental.
Technically you did superbly especially in the 1st half; you played with high tempo and great intensity. You had superb movement off the ball that allowed you space. You created a considerable amount and took most of them. defensively you were superb the entire game with the exception of the last 10 minutes were there was a lack of hunger of pressing and you paid the price for it by tarnishing a fantastic win
from a mental point of view again I think you started brilliantly, you came out all guns blazing and didn't shy away from the occasion. But I think the players got to relaxed and under the circumstances, there is nothing a coaching staff can do about it.
I fully expect you to go to white heart lane and thump Tottenham again
