Brozo only played half a game last match and Barella missed a couple of games a few weeks back. I say, take them off when the game is won.

Let's not forget there's a winter break just around the corner as well.

Barella hasn't missed any game this season and has started 15 out of 18 games. He hasn't started only on 3 occasions. Benevento (matchday 2), Genoa (matchday 5) and Bologna (matchday 10). Even then he came on as a sub. He badly needs a rest.

there's two sets of player whom conte might have chosen to rest today: 1. barella, brozovic, vidal and sensi, treading a fine line regarding their physical condition; and all the others (excluded sanchez and pinamonti, who are clearly injured because they aren't even on the bench).

sensi and vidal are on the bench, so what remains is eriksen: i agree, he should have been among the starters.

but that's the only wrong choice i can see in this lineup. if we put in vidal and/or sensi for barella and/or brozovic, it doesn't change that much, fitness-wise.

unless we also consider nainggolan, but i have no idea of his present physical condition.
