The headline isn't necessarily racist, but it's silly and unnecessary and, given the problems with racism that have occurred in Italy this year and in recent years, it's hard to give the benefit of the doubt. It's just throwing more wood in the fire for absolutely no reason.
Well, in Bulgaria black people are referred to as "негър/негри" (negri, pl.; negar, sg.) which is, well, quite similar to the N word... to put it mildly.
The...n word is just a Dixie mispronunciation of the Spanish word for black.
The way you wrote this makes it look as if you were dying to say the word but somehow managed to resist.

Until we’re -8 from Juve, I expect us to continue getting dicked with ref designations and decisions.
It's just a word. If I wanted to say it, I would. I just find it silly and funny at the same time that people pretend to use this word in some sort of respective camouflage of avoiding to actually use the word. Like "the F word" or "the S word" so that kids don't listen to it. In fact, I find this usage quite disrespectful when people when it happens instead of actually using the word. So in the end, say neither or just use the actual word when your intent is not to racially abuse someone.
But I guess it's only acceptable when comedians say the word in the same context and you nod along in agreement but everyone else who follows suit must be an non-conforming racist sob. Selective grammar nazism at its best
Or maybe you're just biased.

There's no ill intent here, I guarantee you that, negro is black, so we use the word for black when referring to black people, but I'm smart enough to understand that using it I might offend people that don't know how Bulgarian lexicology works.
