I suppose most of us agree that Adriano should start with Recoba, but this won't happen.

Usually i'd be happy with the Adriano-Martins duo, but lately it just doesn't seem to be working at all, so I'd rather Adriano-Recoba with Cruz being the supersub. Martins just doesn't seem to have found any sort of form this season, though saying that, none of our strikers seem to either

Cambiasso is also injured, so we are left without a defensive midfielder. We should bring on Il Capitano in the second half on that position IMO.

Now it is essential that we own the ball-possession. Otherwise, Veron and Pizarro will get murdered.

I guess we really are the most unfortunate club side in the world when it comes to injuries. We have 2 good players for every position this season yet we still have to play Burdisso out of position and Veron - Pizarro without a ballwinner. Still, forza Inter! :star:

I gotta credit Mancini by not putting Gramps on the pitch and experimenting Materazzi on the right, just like he did when he used Matrix on the left last season.

First of all, both of our other central midfielders, C.Zanetti & Cambiasso, are not fit. Secondly, Wome is completely capable at playing as a left midfielder, a role he has taken on the past. In fact, he did OK against Sampdoria in such a role. Hence, don't blame Mancini, but Lady Luck's punishment to us by giving such a problematic fitness problems.

Yeah Wome is capable, but isn't Solari the obvious choice for the LM position?? Are we going for a defensive line-up?? I know who is injured and who is fit, it wasn't the moment to repeat what was said above, I was trying to figure out what type of formation is Mancini using and why (Solari also has a couple of good matches).

I'm wondering also, why Mancio is playing Wome instead of Solari. Even if Solari is more attacking than Wome, i still don't trust Wome's defensively capabilitys much..

Well, on the other hand it's nice to see Burdisso playing.

I think Wome would be more defensive than Solari. Did you see his defending in the first goal of Sampdoria? He was marking Diana like a little girl.
