Check again, I think he said "next season".

You cannot change the qualification once the season has already started. So once the domestic seasons started this season (2016-17), the qualification parameters for CL 2017-18 were already locked. UEFA can only change the parameters for CL 2018-19, as long as they make it formal before domestic seasons for 2017-18 start. I believe that is the plan.

thats my whole point. he wrongly said maybe we will have 4 teams by end of season and james horncastle was just kinda silent because it made no sense.

i should have it on deleted tab on sky box, will rewatch to make sure.

Too bad Melo doesn't play for us anymore...

I think Muntari is the player i hate the most, although Mexès comes close.

With Ansaldi disqualified after getting two yellow cards against Palermo, Pioli may also have to rest Miranda and Kondogbia against Pescara. This because both players are one yellow card from being suspended, meaning they would miss next week’s clash against Juventus.

Pioli has alternatives for these players, this could be one starting eleven on Saturday: Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Medel, Murillo, Santon; Gagliardini, Brozovic; Candreva, Joao Mario, Perisic; Icardi.

Santon has competition from Nagatomo and Joao Mario from Ever Banega for the last two positions.

i would like to see Pioli trying to play Gabigol WITH icardi at least once, from the beginning. Rest Candreva.

The club organised, precisely Pioli organised a dinner for the team, not just the squad but everyone involved at Inter and paid for it.The purpose was chemistry and squad bonding as a family/united group

I saw in an Arabic Inter related news group in facebook that Pioli ordered the players to speak Italian more and even change their phones's language settings to Italian. And now this.

I see what Pioli's doing. We dont have a very international squad, but we have international groups. We have for examples 3 Balkans, 4 Italians, 4 Argentinians, 3 Portuguese/Brazillians and few French (and one lonely Japanese). They could form group for themselves each, so they hang together and with each others they'll surely have an even better excuse to talk in their respective languanges, and it can go as far as the field. This is a speculation but it might be the case, and it might be one of the reasons of De Boer's failure here (Dutch speaker). Also confirms players' complain about the language barrier during De Boer's time.

That's always been a problem at Inter, and you can kind of see it some of the photos we have of different players and their groups, like Kondogbia often pictured with Gnoukouri, the Portuguese-speaking players always together, etc.

Yeah Pioli confirmed the language thing. He wants there to be one language spoken on the field he says. Which makes sense.

There's always been clans at Inter, ALWAYS. Even in Mourinho times....But back then, the clans were consisted of BIG BALLS character players...Zanetti, Militto, Samuel, Maicon, Lucio etc etc,....now you have chihuahuas like Palacio, Ansaldi, Carizzo, Banega,....with the head poodle Icardi running the show...

It's perfectly normal for players to spend their time with other squad members who share their language and cultural background. What Pioli is doing is, by utilizing the Italian language as a tool, building group cohesion, so that players can literally and metaphorically understand each other better. No wonder he's been praised for making even bench warmers, feel part of a whole.
