These are the formations I'd like to see tonight:
A 4-3-3, but with Pandev playing a little closer to the center, giving Maicon room to move forward, and avoiding Pandev playing on the wing. We did use this formation at some point last season, I think it was against Livorno, but with Quaresma on the left instead of Biabiany. It looked good...but then again, it was Livorno, not Napoli. I really doubt we're gonna use the 4-3-3, because we would not have anyone coming in from the bench if we're trailing. Maybe Santon and Obi, but that's about it.
If we're gonna play a 4-3-1-2 I'd like to see this. With this you need offensive wingbacks, so Chivu would be useless, unless you play him as a CB, which I wouldn't mind (just don't play Cordoba). With Mariga starting, we'd have 2 CM's who can attack and defend, something we don't have whenever Zanetti's starting in midfield. But if Leonardo is going to start Zanetti in midfield, then I'd rather see Santon instead of Chivu. Contrary to what all of y'all may think, Santon has actually been quite good whenever he's played on the left. Remember how much better he played against Krasic than Chivu? Also has Pandev playing in his best position.
The usual 4-2-3-1. Like I said before, I doubt we're gonna use a formation like this, 'cause we'd have no one coming from the bench.
This game will show if we're still a top team or not. I don't care how badly we play, hell, I don't care if we play like 5 year old retarded kids who just recovered from a knee injury, we have to win. I don't care if we win from a ref error, I don't even care if the ref scores the winning goal for us, I just want to celebrate again. AUW!
