Amazing performance that we and definitely bilan fans will remember for a few years. The team was well prepared and every player knew exactly where to be and what his task per each phase. Grande Inzaghi!
I think that when we roll like we did in this game we really can beat any team in the world. I think this Milan team is really good and way better than last year's but we managed to dismantle them with great tactical preparation and almost flawless execution by our players. Miki is on fire! Thuram- what a goal! Toro relentless as always and his presence alone shaked Milan defenders.
Now we need to keep the same mentality throughout the season and specially against thr smaller teams and we will get our 20th.
The confidence and the calm approach on one hand and the ruthless and aggressive nature on the other makes this team really special and very hard to play against. I'm sure we will have our struggles later on but this time we have hell of a bench compared to what we had last season so I truly belive we will be able to get the scrappy wins by making few changes when things don't go well.
Forza Inter!

Watching this, I think Pioli is actually smart with his post-match comments. He got burned but not his players. Nobody is talking about how useless Pulisic was and other players as well

Nvm what Pioli says. The guy is under a lot of preasure and people spew alot of nonsense under pressure. Losing 5-1 to your city arch rival when you come to the match winning 3 consecutive matches is not easy to swallow. He's probably still under shock.

should have said that you hope you trash them the same way. They got rid of you Sandro, so no need to suck their dick anymore.

It wasn't the players that got rid of him. He is probably cool with most ex-teammates.

Behold! The famous, fabled four minutes:

Such minutes, much four! Who cares about an XG of 0,03 during the first half, just look at that delicious, useless and largely random ball retention.
this video is gold, im fcking dying. The song from the video is from scherzi a parte ("jokes appart" translated) a italian show where famous people (also footballer) gets pranked

Don't have one.

He is in a genuinely tricky position, has two options, and it's absolutely hilarious.

Play ultra conservatively like he did in that derby with back three when he lost by only one goal margin, or stick to your guns and play the type of attacking football which is his default philosophy and get completely wrecked. Now if he plays the first option everyone would say he has to adjust to only us, small club mentality, he has to defend for his life etc... And again we all saw the second option a couple of nights ago. And the result is always the same whatever he does

So he is like that sweating guy in those memes where every button he pushes leads to pain, just in different amounts. Hence, the stupid phrases like I didn't watch the previous derbies, or we were good in the first four minutes... Spoiler alert: he watched every derby, analyzed it, came to the conclusion he is fucked either way, so might as well roll the dice and die by your own philosophy, again. Hence, the statement afterwards only we had possession in the first four minutes, like a little kid defending the way he chose to die.

we should stop making fun of him. The guy is an interista thru an thru. He is our trojan horse that made Milan a giftbox that never stops giving

Yes, if Aurelio De Luarentiis were to make an Italian football based adaptation of Infernal Affairs (The Departed), Pioli would be Chan Wing-Yan (Billy Costigan), Darmian would be Lau Kin-ming (Colin Sullivan).

Just gonna reply to this one here.

Im kind of amazed by how delusional these Bilanistas are we won 5 straight derbys the last one we spanked em 5:1 and the majority of the retards over at red and black forums still think our squad is mediocre at best and that any decent coach would have easily won against inter since this bbilan squad is way superior what fucken clown world are these people living in?
That fucken fluke scudetto we gifted them made them even more delusional than they already were...
The current popular trend and coping mechanism for Milanisti is to try take as much credit away from us as possible by making it sound like the only reason we won is because they enabled us. The good old "you didn't win, we lost" tactic used by poor losers and children everywhere.

So much rhetoric is around Pioli not adapting his tactics and supposedly doing "the exact same thing" 5 derbies in a row. They desperately gaslight each other in this pathetic attempt to discredit us for the victory(ies).

They try to make it sound like Inzaghi is a predictable one trick pony but Pioli was too arrogant or stubborn to change course and walked right into his trap. They make it seem like Pioli fell into some comical, infantile trick 5x in a row - a trap so obvious that even a child could easily avoid - like some Bugs Bunny or Roadrunner vs Wile E. Coyote shit.

To even suggest that all five derbies have been identical is simply idiotic.

Easy example, in the 1-0 derby on matchday 22 last season, we absolutely dominated them with 65% possession, 15 shots with 4 on target, against Milan's 4 total shots with zero on target. That's already a vastly different match to the molesting we gave them on Saturday.

In practically every derby over the past 5 years we've started on the front foot and often scored early. This is the first derby we've deliberately sat so deep and not pressured them high up the pitch - and even then we scored early

There's also a lot of saltiness about our counter attacking style of this season but that only proves the shortness of their memory. You'd think long-time football watchers would know more about the general ebb and flow of football matches.

If we score early against them as we frequently do, the onus is on them to score - especially if we then score more goals  Of course they are going to have a lot of the ball. You can't always stop that, especially not against strong teams like Milan. But they make it sound like our wins are smash-and-grab results. The kind of 0-1 upsets you see when a small team beats a bigger team by parking the bus and grabbing a lucky goal on the counter.

Would they feel better if our victories came with us having more ball possession? Would they feel better if we had 70% possession, camped outside their box and picked them apart like Man City putting 8 goals past a relegations side? Would they feel like our wins deserve more credit then? Would they be less salty?

Do they honestly think Pioli instructing the team to sit deeper would've saved them, let alone won them the match? The last time they did this we still won convincingly and only some poor finishing on our part kept the scoreline respectable. As I mentioned on the wildly popular Inter Jections podcast, the pair of 1-0 victories last season were deceptive scores. They should've been much bigger wins.

What kind of special derby tactics do they expect from Pioli here? Weren't they (and certain podcasts) hyping up their new-look, revamped, dynamic midfield? This match already had a vastly different tactical matchup, completely different midfield battle and they still got destroyed. A new formation? They don't have the fucken players to do a 352 or a 442 or 4312. If Pioli pulled some random 343 out of his ass he would've been crucified for deviating from their tried and tested philosophy which served them so well in the first 3 matches.

All five derbies have been different. The only constant is that we've thoroughly outplayed them every single time. No matter the players, formations or how the game played out. We've been better. We've played far more attractive football to boot too.

I've posed a whole bunch of questions but really I've already answered my question in my very first sentence. All the overblown criticism of Pioli falling for Inzaghi's predictable tricks and all that shit is just saltiness. It's a deliberate strategy to try and take as much credit away from us as possible. Nothing more than a coping mechanism and a way to focus their blame.

As long as Milan fans (and maybe even management) believes that they just got unlucky, 5 times in a row, I'm okay with that. Don't want them to change coaches now :)

What’s hilarious is that milan fans think that their team is on par with inters and they only lost because of tactics. Incredible how delusional their fans are.
They think this is FIFA or PES, Leao and Theo with 95 speed, Giroud 97 shoot accuracy, Pulisic 93 Dribbling. What they do there in Red & Black Forum is just comparing players, idiot.
