Milan will win this one.
Kaka and Shevchenko will score a brace each. Adriano will play like sh1t, we don't have a chance.

(Just trying to jinx Milan)

If Figo scores tonight the S Siro would simply explode!

1919, I know what you mean about Sinisa, still I was just thinking how little he played this year, still how many assists he provided from corners/free kicks. He's freakin lethal at that, and remember that's Milan's main weak point.

Well I want to be optimistic about this game but if it a dissapointing affair due to our mentality then Mancio should be in some trouble!! "I would not feel sympathy for him" if he gets sacked if we loose this!

If in the minute 85/88 we are losing 0-1, Miha should enter in the place of Favalli or someone else to take the corners and free kicks.

I think that would happen way before the 85th minute, more like 60th.

There's a huge difference in mentality when it comes to Inter and Milan. We have lost our previous derbies based on mentality. We've been the better team in most games, but luck and mentality has won us over. Milan surprises me this time by actually mentioning Juve and Scudetto. Usually, they have the mentality that I love- Screw Scudetto, this is the God damn Milano derby!

Our mentality has been: "We mustn't lose", "It's not the end of the world if we lose"

And for freak sake, did you read what Figo said earlier? I think it was him at least. "We haven't spoken much about this match amongst ourselves"

It's the freaking derby, and the players don't even talk about the match amongst themselves.
I can bet my ass on that at Milanello there's a different attitude.

Naturally I'm not optimistic at all before this game. The comments made by our team has certainly added more to my pessimism, and not even an injured Maldini can stop that. We have witnessed Costacurta replacing him before and toying with our strikers. This time it will be Stam and Nesta.
If we go out and play with one striker, we're doomed.

At least Solari isn't called up. :D

tonight is a must win, if we don't then it is bye-bye to this years scudetto. lets not play crappy tactics, lets really go for the win because without maldini milan are not as good defensively. put martins on to stam and he will kill him with his pace.

no stupid tackles just outside the area, we know what pirlo can do.

if we win, juve will start feeling the pressure with the two milan sides chasing rather than just one.

Speaking of Maldini, Milan has never won a Derby since he became the captain until on season 03/04 when they overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2. If I remember correctly, Costacurta was his replacement at that day and, like Jimmy said, he toyed with Adriano & Martins. :wallbang:

Our home record in the Serie A Derby has been apalling to say the least; we've lost the last 6.

But, all this will not matter tonight! I used to say that the team who will win the Derby is the one who wants it the most. After looking at last season, I'd say that that's bull$hit because the team who wants it is not only the one who win it the most but also the luckiest one!

Now go out there and win it for the club and the fans, ragazzi! :fero::star:

PS: And yes, I'm gonna continue my little Derby strike by not watching this match to avoid my life being cut short by 1-2 year(s). ;)

I dont think Martins will kill Stam with his pace. It will be the reverse, like last year's derbies: Stam will eat Martins alive with his power... :depress:

Yeah, we say this each season. Martins' pace against Stam. But in reality, Stam seems to really know how to play against Martins. And don't let his size fool you either. He's not that slow.

This season, Martins have had no use of his pace either. The Serie A defenders know him by now and knows what it takes to take him down. That's why Martins has to develope other skills, or he's going to get stuck in nowhere's land.

Dida is our biggest problem.

It's yet another derby for me, and I can't explain how nervous I am this time as well. It starts in less than 8 hours, wow !! Sadly, just like Jimmy, I am not feeling that confident of our team. I have a feeling that we will lose this game or at the most get a draw. Since I have got to watch Inter regularly, I have yet to watch a derby win for us, no wonder I am not that confident in this game as well. Those Champions League knockout stage defeats still haunt me, when I try to think about the past derbies. No wonder I never try to think about the derbies, instead I love to recall our matches against Juventus (the recent ones).

Discussing about that tactic and formation for this big game, I do think that it's a huge loss for us coz of Recoba's absence. He was riding high and just when it seemed that he would have done something unforgettable, we have been sinned. Luck has never been on our side in the recent derbies, as we have unluckily lost games which we should have won or drawn. There’s saying that sooner or later everyone has their day, but we are yet to see that day despite hoping for every those days to be the one.

Milan will be without the duo of Maldini and Cafu, but they will definitely be missing the latter one and we should try our best to take advantage of that. Maldini will easily be replaced by Stam in the centre and there’s Khaladze/Jankulovski for the left back position. Cafu in the other hand would have really given us hell of a trouble in our left wing.

I am not in the favor of changing our tactic coz of Recoba’s absence, coz I am fed up of our failed experiments this season. It’s also not the right time to experiment in such a big game, but if Mancini does it (which I won’t rule out) lets hope that it does great. :hopeful:

Last but not the least, I have to say that I am damn nervous and would be damn happy if we win this derby – “By Hook Or By Crook”. I would even give a shit if we defend with 10 players, if that’s what needed to get 3 points from this game. :D

Spot on Jimmy, no wonder I am eager for inter to get Cassano {we are already discussing this in a different topic, so lets not go in detail in this one}. Martins' asset used to be his speed and opponents would have had hard time with that, but now it seems that our opponents are well prepared for that. Kaka's first season in Italy was great, but that wasn't the case in his second season and only after sometime, he's doing well now. What I meant to say is that Martins will flop very badly if he doesn't work on his skills. Will he be able to do that ?? Lets hope so ...

But saying that, lets hope that he does help the team tonight with his speed, as he could help the opponents free Adriano or take the advantage when they are marking Adriano. The more I watch our Martins -- Adriano duo, more I think that it won't do well.

The good thing is that Stam and Nesta are in quite a bad period of form as of late.
