It's good for everyone to forget the Juventus game, but ofcourse the team should know what mistakes were made against Juventus and Palermo; so that we won't be repeating it on and on in the future.

Livorno has been doing very well this season, even though they just lost to Fiorentina. The proof that they started Serie is that they are just one point behind us in the league table. But there's a good news for us from this defeat of their's as their key player/striker - LUCARELLI was sent off against Fiorentina in as early as 16th minute. It's a big blow for them, as he's been a crucial player for them this season. Lets hope that we take full advantage of their loss. I would want Ze Maria to start as a right back in this game.

Recoba should start as well .... ;)

I hope we break out of our rut (juve game mentality) in style and explode in this one.We need to win and win with more than a goal difference so that we can relax.

I hope to see Recoba getting the chance he deserves...I wouldnt hope for too many changes though our team is solid minus a few things(mostly mentality and tiredness).

The good thing is that their major threat isnt playing.I cant wait for this one since i am still hurting by how bad our display was yesterday.

-------------Cruz--------Recoba-------------
---Kily----C.Zanetti----Pizarro----Luis Figo
---Favalli---Samuel---Cordoba----Ze Maria
--------------------J.Cesar--------------------

ok its still 2 weeks until this match, but this is the line up i want us to use, martins and adriano would be better of if rested,it will also give recoba and curz their DESERVED chance, figo is the most consistent of our midfielders so he stays, pizzaro would be given a second chance after his bad juventus match, wouldnt hurt cambiasso being on the bench for c.zanetti this match, stankovic is in bad form right now so kily(or solari) to play,i would like us also to try our future duo cordoba-samuel this match so as to see how it goes and if it needs to be worked in but i dont see any problems in it to be honest, and no changes favalli has done great so far so he stays, and there is no talk of Julio cesar being replaced by toldo,he is a great goalkeeper, great reeflexes,no silly mistakes so he stays, inshallah we will do better in the next matches.

Maybe everyone has no problem with Cezar but I want Toldo back, maybe his reflexes are not that good, but he has the experience which Cezar lacks, yesterday match he didnt manage to command hte wall right, and he scares the hell out of me when he saves something but the ball in the mid of the box.

Watch Toldo in the 1-0 encounter with Juve and u know what am talking about.

Cezar is our 2nd best but not the first, so i want Toldo to be back for big games especially,

It's a simple fact, the wall was not listening to JC when he was commanding them where to go and he had no chance in the end...

I expect us to destroy Livorno, they're without Lucarelli (suspended) and he's their main weapon.

I hope Adriano will play and score, I'm not worried but many fans are and that could affect him.

We really need a convincing display against Livorno, after a defeat against Juve, and with Capitano soon to be back after injury I believe we will produce a good string of consecutive performances which will enable us to
compete for lo Scudetto,so all in all we must not be disheartened by the Juve loss and we should keep a positive attitude right until the last match day.FORZA INTER :fero: :star:

I have huge expectation on this match as well. But to be honest, I'm not putting my hopes on a Livorno thrashing since they're a good side and before the Fiorentina game, they only conceded 1 goal in 5 games. So it's not just Lucarelli, y'know...But still, it seems that their squad morale will be affected after this incident.
  • Lucarelli denies Spinelli claims
    Monday 3 October, 2005
Livorno’s Cristiano Lucarelli has denied President Aldo Spinelli’s revelation that he has signed a new contract.

The striker, top scorer in Serie A last season, was reported to have agreed a new deal with the Tuscan side ahead of Sunday’s clash with Fiorentina.

The 29-year-old dismissed the claims of Spinelli that he had signed a new deal keeping him at the Stadio Armando Picchi until 2010. “It’s not that the President is a liar,” he stated. “He's simply an optimist by nature. I can only say I’ve not signed.”

Lucarelli, who was dismissed for dissent against the Viola, added: "Although the agreement has not been reached yet, there is a proposal by the club. There are no problems to eventually reach an agreement.”

It was a miserable day all round for Lucarelli, who celebrates his 30th birthday tomorrow, as to add to his dismissal he was again over looked by national Coach Marcello Lippi when the squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Moldova was announced.

After the Iaquinta issue, I think that contract negotiation in Serie A is just pure abysmal. Thankfully, Inter renewed Adriano's and soon, Cruz's, contracts without much fuss.

It goes without saying that a win in this match is an absolute MUST. If we fail to do so, I personally think that we will be like Titanic when they were about to hit the iceberg.

Adriano - #10
You can't ask to bench JC for what happened yesterday. Wall or not, Nedved's rocket was going in. JC pulled off some fast reflex saves that Toldo wouldn't have a chance to blink at. Especially that low one on another foul outside the box. JC still deserves to start because I'm convinced he's doing better then what Toldo could do.

Meh, Lucarelli wouldn't get past Samuel and Cafe anyways.

We need to see some damn goals in this game for once and stop the 1-0 wins.

Adriano-Recoba

Stan-Cambiasso-Pizarro-Figo

Favalli-Samuel-Cordoba-Ze Maria

Julio Cesar

or something a little new...

-----Adriano-Martins-----

-----------Recoba-----------

Stan/Pizarro---------------Figo

------------Cambi-----------

Favalli-Samuel-Cafe-Ze Maria

-----------Julio Cesar------------

surely veron will be healthy no? So if he's back than we should play with

Julio Cesar

Ze Maria-Cordoba-Samuel-Favalli

Figo, Veron, Cuchu, Stan/Solari (stan really disappointed me sunday)

Adriano- Recoba

if veron is out however than i'm a big fan of mike's line up with recoba martins and adriano.

still 2 weeks until the game but here is mine 11, probably I will change it, but if the game is now, this is what I would chose

adriano martins

recoba
deki zanetti figo

favalli samuel cordoba zanetti

cesar

it's perfect game to play with diamond formation, and finally, adriano and oba would have so much usefull balls from recoba

I hope zanetti's are back for this game

and also, cesar didn't do anything wrong this season
about the wall, he screamed so bad, but they didn't listen or hear him, and there is nothing to do when wall isn't prepared like you want it to be, and when strike like that from nedved comes

if javier isn't back for this game, burdisso in, cordoba at fullback

Crespo, Figo, I
Yeah. Livorno is not an easy opponent....
We should treat them with respect and beat the crap out of them...!1

I would be happy to win with one goal margin... but trashing them would do me fine :D...

I would keep Cesar. He is better than toldo. And that is the fact.
Toldo is a great legendary goalie and now he is benched because better and younger goalie. But hey. Thats the way things are.About our attack. I think we should play Recoba :D and Martins together since they both did good job against juventus.Chinos passes to lightning fast Oba could be deadly to livorno. I really love the new Chino what we have seen this season. Also Martins is a true fighter. He never give up.It's funny to see how he almost starts crying when he is fouled and ref dont blow the whistle :) He is always playing with such a big emotion. And that is the thing Inter needs.
GREAT EMOTION AND DETERMINITON.
I would also give a change to Solari. Stan was not so good against Juve and Solari needs time on the field. So my choice for this will be Solari. Of course if he sucks then we can change Stan.
But I personally think that this game is way more important than just 3 points. We need to get rid of that monkey on our back. The team was so unconfident against juventus and we need to get back that attitude we had against Lecce and Chievo.

But my Starting Eleven. :intersca:

CESAR

ZE MARIA--CORDOBA---SAMUEL--FAVALLI ´

FIGO--C.ZANETTI--PIZARRO--SOLARI

RECOBA --- MARTINS

Figo, Recoba, Martins & Adriano from the start would be a tactical suicide. :D It's a formation that only works in Championship Manager. When you play with a diamond midfield, you need to have 1 ball-winner, 2 hard-working 2-way midfielders & 1 attacking midfielders. Diamond midfield has no space for any winger.

I think this is the right chance for Burdisso ,

I want to start as the following :

Julio Cesar

Cordoba(Ze Maria)-Burdisso-Samuel-Favalli (Wome)

Figo, Veron(Pizzaro Go To Hill ), Cambiasso(C.Zaniti), Solari (Stank :()

Adriano (CRUZ) - Recoba (Martinz)

I BELIVE INTER WILL RECOVER & WILL CATCH THE TOP VERY SOOOOOON

Indeed this game will be important to us. We need to get past of Juve defeat and what would be better for that than victory.
And what it comes to Toldo, i wouldnt mind seeing him on field, but that's just not wise coz Cesar is simply better that him nowadays..
Recoba should definitely start, with who im not sure yet, maybe Adriano.
Seeing Adriano, Oba, Chino and Figo same time would be tempting idea, but as Handoyo already pointed out, it would be suicide. :( For that tactic Figo doesnt just fit.

So my starting eleven:

Recoba - Adriano

Solari - CZ - Veron - Figo

Favalli - Samuel - Cordoba - Ze Maria

Cesar

I wonder how u judge Cezar is better than Toldo and toldo is not playing, last game i saw him it was the SUper Cup and against our toughest opponent and we wont 1-0 and who was the opponent JUVE.

so I dont know based on what ur making ur judgement, I wanna see him back and see his performance iwth this defensive line.

Livorno should be a walk in the park.. no way to miss the 3 points, we cant afford such mistakes if we really wanna be the champions.

Cesar has been great in past games and he hasnt made any mistakes, maybe its just my opinion, but i think Julio is our nr. 1 keeper. On the other hand our defense is stronger now, but still.. So i dont see any reason why we sholdnt play Cesar if hes playing well.
