Great win guys. A great night for inter fans.

Fontanna 6: didn't have much to do did what was needed.

cordoba 9: along with martins and deki the player of the game.
matrix 8: good return game shut trez completely out of the game.
gamarra 7: good performance.
Kily 7: best game as a lwb that I have seen from him.
cz 7: did his job.
farinos 6: average performance. karagounis should have started.
jz 8: normal jz performance.
deki 10: outstanding great game, finally plays in his right position and performs great.
martins 8: hurt juve with his pace they simply couldn't contain him.
vieri 7: good performance by the big guy.
almeyda 6: average performance.
karagounis 8: another very good performance from the man from greece.
helveg 3: what was this sub about? Why did zac need to bring his love child on?

ZAC 5: Wrong players picked. Lucky juve have been so average this year. Should have started kara instead of farinos. And should have though about the marseille game and brought on adriano for either vieri/oba. Showed no respect towards adriano by subbing in almeyda and helveg but leaving adriano on the bench the whole game.

But great win from the boys.

My only regret is that i had to work today and missed this match when it was available for free. But inter made my day and my week with this result, after checking the score i had a rush of euphoria and felt so happy and life was better. We are entitled to that after the many heartbreaks that we got.

I think Zac guaranteed himself the bench for next year with this win. It's been so long since we beat juve twice in a season and outplay them in both occassions. I really felt it was a total team effort and despite missing very key players, for the second times in as many meetings we rise to the occassion and beat juve.

Hats off to Vieri for the goal and the assisst and i hope he proves us all wrong and start rising up to the occassion in big games. After the match he said he wants to stay till contract ends and it seems that will happen. Vieri has really changed both in character and play in the past month and i hope that's a permanent thing.

PROUDER TO BE AN INTER FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i read on yahoosports

Inter: Facchetti "Zac will be reconfirmed"

After the diamond succeeded on the Juventus , Giacinto Facchetti does not have doubts on who will be to guide dell` Inter the next season. "Zaccheroni has worked well, has had many problems for accidents and disqualifications, but never it has not been put in argument, will come reconfirmed".

Facchetti has then continued: "my intention is to confirm the group and l`allenatore in order to create a group. We are not trying a trainer-manager. Trap? It will remain in National ".

I could not find this news on inter.it, so they may get it out of an interview which is not official enough to be shown on inter.it.

but until we read it on inter.it, we can never be sure..

Stefan, u're too harsh on zac..

u should give the guy a credit...

if he can win this game, u can't give him a 5...

I can cause he still made vary bad errors. Remember this juve side has not beaten any of the top sides this season in the leaguea. ZAC should have started karagounis and should have sub vieri/martins out when the game was safe. And should have used adriano. But thats just my opinion and you can disagree if you like . I still don't see ZAC as the coach we need. :)

To give Farinos a 6 definately shows that your a hater Stefan. Farinos played much better then C.Zanetti and you gave him a higher rating?? Incredible :D

Helveg a 3? The guy did well when he came in, nothing special but he was decent, a 5...

And giving Zac a 5?? Farinos was solid in the midfield, one of our better players and you wanted to start another offensive player in his place? Kara couldn't control the mid like Farinos did.

Though I agree that Adriano should have come on for Vieri to rest him up for the Marseille game but whats 1 mistake in such a victory??

Well now that the euphoria has subsided (a little), enough for me to write some more coherent words, i would have to say that we played excellent yesterday. Inter played one of their best games ever, and especially against such competition. It isn't always that we play Juventus off the field, but last night we proved that when we get our act together, we're nobody's laughing stock. :)

The highlights of the match yesterday wasn't so much the score, but more so the players who played some of the best football in their lives. Stankovic was amazing and well and truly proved that he is a player that can help achieve great things for this team. Hopefully he is deployed in his natural position more often, so as to get the best out of him. And what can i say about Farinos? The man is amazing! IMO, his substitution was unwarranted as he was truly the engine of the midfield. A lot of other players were exceptional, and i take my hats off to them for a wonderful performance that cumulated in a historic victory. I can't remember when was the last time that an Inter team has beaten Juventus twice in a season. :star:

Overall, despite the poor season overall, certain bright lights have made this a year to remember. Grazie Inter e squadra! :)

Ciao,
Tim

Farinos by all means played his ass off in this game and he was more amazing than CZ this time around no doubt about that...Gammarra did well along with Matrix,Cordoba didnt look he did more than his usual solid performance.

Vieri and Martins did well but Martins needs to know when to pass and what to do sometimes...he caused them trouble with his speed but could have easily made it a nightmare for them if he passed right and knew what to do with the ball at some points of the game...But he will only get better :star:

Kily did well and i liked Fontana gesture after the own goal and his comments later classy guy and way to pick up Kily.
Karagounis would not stop even when the game was ours he wanted to go on and score another goal by continuing to push forward and also coming back to defend when needed...U cant but fall in luv with this guy.

Lippi contests Collina choices Sunday 4 April, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alberto Zaccheroni and Marcello Lippi both concede that Inter deserved to win, but the refereeing decisions have come under fire.

Zaccheroni explained why Adriano was left on the bench for the entire 90 minutes of this crucial encounter.

“Adriano is not 100 per cent fit and did not even take part in Friday’s training session. It is completely untrue that I often choose between Vieri and Adriano, but they are very similar and we need to work very hard before being able to afford fielding both together.”

The choice of Obafemi Martins proved inspired, especially after he also scored in the 3-1 victory in Turin.

“If Martins is allowed to run into space then he will give any opponent trouble,” added Zac, “as nobody in Serie A is as fast as him right now.”

Stankovic had a hand in all three goals and put in perhaps his best performance since signing for the Nerazzurri.

“I was lucky enough to Coach Stankovic at Lazio and realised that by placing him behind the forwards he was considerably more effective, but he is not a classic second striker who can play with his back to the goal.”

“It was not a very tactical game,” concluded the Coach, “but rather a fast-paced and entertaining encounter that both teams wanted to win.”

Despite beating Juventus twice over the campaign, the Italian press still maintains that Zaccheroni will be fired in the summer.

“Today I am the Inter Coach and this is the job that I perform. I don’t know about tomorrow, but I can tell you that I never let myself become affected by talk from outside the club.”

Marcello Lippi held up his hands and admitted that Inter deserved to win this Derby d’Italia.

“Apart from the result, the moment that really knocked the team for six was the penalty just before half-time,” explained Lippi. “Then we conceded another at the start of the second half and Montero’s red card all one after the other.”

The Bianconeri began the match with a 3-5-2 formation, but switched it in the second half.

“We had started with three defenders because I feared Martins in a one against one situation,” he revealed. “Paradoxically, we conceded a goal like that almost immediately. I changed to a 4-4-2 and matters improved considerably.”

Paolo Montero was sent off for the 16th time in his Serie A career – more than anyone else in the history of Italian football.

“I thought the red card was a little harsh as the ball was already going out for a throw-in in midfield,” insisted the tactician, “but if Collina took this decision then he must have had his reasons.”

Juventus were also upset at the penalty awarded for Gianluca Zambrotta’s challenge on Dejan Stankovic.

“There is a foul and there is contact, but without wishing to cause controversy I will say that Stankovic was looking for the foul.”

I love you Inter! I do. I love you Inter! I do. I love you Inter! I doo-oo, INTER i love you! Great song! Great match! Everything was pretty great yesterday! Farinos, Materazzi, Gamarra, Stankovic, Martins e Vieri! Even i could´ve not played better than these guys.

To me, man of the match was Stan-the-man. He was finally playing in the position where he should have played all the time. Materazzi was unbelievible good, few months without any official matches and he´s that good already, scary. He really deserves a place in NT this summer. Gamarra was solid like a rock, excellent performance from him once again. Whole team deserved this win, great game. There were only one thing we could have done better. Score more! We could have won this match like 6-1 or something. We were that good, but somehow we didnt want to humiliate them. Anyway, I was extra glad to read this from Zac after the match:

"We still have a lot of work to do. We must find the right balance because we're making the mistake of being divided after taking the lead. There are those that want to score another and those that want to defend the result.

GRA-ZIE INTER!!! :proud:

and guess what was the first thing i said when i entered my class?? "INTER 3, JUVENTUS 2!!!!!!" although there wasn't anyone inm y class who were into serie A, i just said it anyway... :p

My name is Sherif, im from Egypt.

I am a very big Inter fan, i cheer for them since ages.. There are many Inter fans in Egypt by the way...

Anyways im really happy we won last night, even though we should have scored more goals.. Juve didnt deserve these 2 goals.. but im happy we won..
I really donno whats up with Zac.. sometimes he is a maestro, otherwise i really donno.. We were winning 3-1, playing against a helpless team with one man down and he didnt put a striker or a winger like van der meyde.. i really donno why.. why didnt we attack more, why did he introduced mid-defenders..! We were holding and passing the ball but we had no attacking force and it was clear that martins and vieri were tired..! Plus, Adriano will not play against Marseille, so why didnt het play last night..?

well, im glad we won

The last thing I wanna do is spoil the wonderful happiness of Interisti all over the world. But I have to ask you something, Stefan: What if we had used Kara from the start and we didn´t win?? I mean the whole midfield was superb including Kara when he came in. If we had used Kara instead of Deki the situation might have been different...

In the middle of this extreme ecstacy we must not forget Zac´s achievement tonight. He was the mastermind behind it all. Not that it makes up for some bad results, but I think it shows that when he has an almost full squad he can do great things.

BTW I think Adriano had some injury/fitness troubles so I wouldn´t worry. He will get his piece of the cake for sure. Hopefully starting with a hattrick at Stade Velodrome next Thursday. ;)

VERGOGNA JUVENTUS!!!!
