When Juve scored the equaliser, I was both disappointed and frustated. But on hindsight, a 2-2 draw with Juve while playing with 10 men from the 8th minute is a good result no matter how you look at it.
I thought Toldo and our defence, notably Rivas, Materazzi and Maxwell did very well in this game. They shut down Trezeguet and Iaquinta and did well dominating their strikers. Maxwell did a good job defending and attacking IMO.
I don't know what the hell Burdisso smoked before the game, but I need to get some of that sh!t too. First he slipped, which was a mistake, then he hacked down Del Piero from behind when he was the last man. Wow! Brilliant defending, what a professional foul. I'm sure playing with 10 men for the remaining 82 minutes is worth preventing Del Piero a clear chance on goal.
Anyways, on to more positive stuff Pele was very good in midfield, as did Solari. Pele's assist was hell of a pass, and Solari was rampaging down that right flank before he came off. Maniche had a decent game, lost the ball in dangerous areas quite a few times though. Cesar was okay, defended well, and provided the cross.
Nothing more to say of Cruz, but Crespo was a little disappointing. Tried to hold up the ball everytime he touched it. Not quite sure whether it was the game plan, but I don't like it. I thought J. Zanetti was a good substitution, he could help back up the defence and provide some extras energy in midfield. Cambiasso did well when he was in midfield, but was not as good in defence. I don't even know why Mancini put Cambiasso in defence. His headed clearance kind of gave Juve their first goal, although noone really picked out Del Piero. Vieira looked good on his return though.
