.......in your opinion

Shirt design is completely open to different opinions and interpretations, which is why I find it exasperating when the many self proclaimed design experts on FIF moan and bicker about new shirts.

Of course it is in my opinion. Who should be writing this otherwise? And should I write IMO after each sentence? Makes no sense.

I like when we keep to the tradition with vertical stripes. That is what defines us from the rest. Messing it up by changing the angle of the stripes and adding other colors are just weird.

IMO.

My opinion agrees with your opinion. I like a lot more the vertical stripes... and I don't mind about this year's jersey but I like more when we have more blue.

Also they need to change the typography (it's the right word if talking about numbers?) asap because I have big issues with Nagatomo's 55 that look like an inverse 22. .-.

Next seasons home jersey better be returned to our traditional black and blue stripes, I'm sick of our tradition being messed with! We've got a 3rd jersey this year so if they want to get 'creative' then I invite the heroes at Nike to go to town on the away and 3rd jerseys if they feel the need to.

No offense but you think those are ugly, you know nothing about design.

Opinion has nothing to do with 'knowing about design'.. Everyone has a different taste, I just dont like those horizontal stripes

The frick is that supposed to mean?

The fuck do you mean 'the frick is that supposed to mean' when you're the one who starts off the whole debate with some inflammatory fucking garbage statement like:

No offense but you think those are ugly, you know nothing about design.

That's some mong shit.

That picture Cal posted it was 3rd kit if I'm correct(?) But however the home kit should always be with vertical stripes and not thin ones like we have this season because it looks raw for my taste.

If they want to experiment something like horizontal stripes then let it be 3rd kit though. The away jersey of 2009/10 is my favourite all-time.

Inter is and has always been Inter. Nerazzurri. Vertical stripes.

Hated this year's kit and I'm convinced I'll sadly hate next year's too.

I like this season's third kit. I hope we keep it.

Beauty is in the eye of the viewer, no design school, course or knowledge can make it otherwise. It can be a proper design, a nice color scheme or anything else that is used as a term and guideline in design, but no one can tell you if it's beautiful or not.

And these rumoured shirts could be better to me. Inter needs vertical stripes on the home kit.

Dear heavens you all are short sighted.

You say beauty is in the eye of the beholder... you are right. We're not talking about beauty. We're talking about designs. Those are GOOD designs. What is wrong with them? Nothing. What's wrong with them is that YOU don't want horizontal stripes because YOU think it doesn't fit Inter. Well guess what, it looks good. If you show a million non inter fans those jerseys, they will think they are sick. You are so stuck in tradition you don't want any deviation at all (even though we've had horizontal stripes before).

Not to mention, when we do the same stripes every year, people complain about complacency! It's ridiculous.

Stop being a clown.

Firstly, who's this "you" you're talking about anyway? FIF members? Inter fans in general? What the fuck does it matter what those outside of Inter think or want for an Inter design? And a million fans will think they're sick? That's a statement that's slightly hard to prove.

Secondly, you're simply wrong. We have never, ever had horizontal stripes (for a home kit) which is what the rumoured kit posted is clearly labelled as. Now I suppose you'll say you were talking about the blue/grey horizontal stripe third kit of the late 90's and mid 2000's :rollani:. That's actually a point worth discussing, because a third kit can very much be more creative.

Thirdly, (if it wasn't retardedly obviously enough) we don't do the 'same' stripes every year. There's always differences in the number and thickness of the stripes, the physical shirt itself (whether it has a collar with buttons or not), the shade of blue used, the colour, size and font of the text used, whether there are trimmings of white or gold etc present on the shirt.

Those design are mediocre at best. Deviation from traditions you say - when you experiment at least be bold ffs.

Vertical stripes, nothing unseen or original here.

I won't even begin to comment on the away kit as it looks like something Joma or Uhl Sport would propose - random blue shades on random shapes. No creative idea at all.

Just to prove a point I'll refer to one of my proposals. Not that it's that special, the point here is you see that it breaks tradition but in the same time has a sound concept behind it that's connected with the club and it's history. It's not just a 'picture', it has symbolism.

If you insist on vertical stripes try some options, tilt them a couple of degrees, make them gradate in size... and try like 30-40 designs and variations before you can say - that's it, that's what came out and it would work and be different because of the process where I've explored almost all options available and we can now see what are the best options before us and make a decision.

Of course you should do your research first, explore what can you do with the red cross of St. Ambrose, the grass snake, etc. Then if you're Nike you should produce the shortlisted proposals and see how they look in reality, on a model, from afar, etc. The cut of the jersey also plays a part - would it be superfit and long or a bit looser and 'traditional'.

The stripes always differenciate in both size and gradients of colour so to me they never look the same.. Horizontal stripes dont look as nice as vertical stripes in black and blue..

Also the fact that your trying to force and question others opinions on a shirt they dont like is a little childish, saying millions of other fans would love it. If you like it then fine, but no need to offend others
