Also, loved the name dropping of some blasts from the past 😂
By now, you are also a blast from the past! How have you been, what did you think of Inter in 22/23?

Another great episode, nice to see that everyone was upbeat about the good ship Inter. Liked the striker section and the worst of sections especially. Good hear there is at least some concern about the defense.

The worst transfers post treble section is the best content, imo. 30 minutes of names you wish you could forget.

Kondogbia has to be a top 5 for me. Just purely based on price tag. Definitely hard to drop any of the names mentioned but I think I’d take Radja out of the top 5 for him. He scored a couple of big goals. Kdog got subbed off in a first half one time.

Haha that's fair. Also i know it was preseason but i still don't know how a professional footballer does this:

IMO Naingolann has been the worst transfer without a doubt. People might say he scored a couple of goals including the ones against Juve and the empty net one against Empoli but looking at the whole picture, not only we paid for him more than we did for the likes of Kondogbia and Correa, we also lost Zaniolo along the line.

Now people might look at the current Zaniolo or the one after his bad injuries and say it was not that bad to lose him after all, but we have to look at the Zaniolo we lost at the time and the one who had a breakthrough season at Roma. In all honestly tell me how much do you think Roma would demand for that Zaniolo after the season he had at the time? 50m? 60m? My guess is way higher. In such situations a youngster's price would skyrocket. It did not surprise me if Roma would ask close to 100m for him. Put that along the amount we paid for Naingolann including his salary, the golden handshake we gave him to terminate his contract and you get the idea about how hefty this deal ended up for us.

Speaking of couple of goals, Correa scored a couple of goals as well. Kondogbia was slowly getting better for us until he felt he might not become a starter anymore and decided to leave, and at the end he had some resale value after all. Naingolann's couple of goals cannot sugarcoat how terrible his whole deal ended up for us. If he actually did his job properly in the entire season we would not be in the situation we were at the end of season where we needed some heroic saves from Handanovic and DDA to beat the mighty Empoli 2-1 at home to secure the 4th spot!

There were huge expectations for Nainggolan and he didn't reach them, because he didn't really want to be at Inter. So what happened was that he HAD THE GOODS, but DIDN'T WANT to play more than at 50% most of the games. Debatable if he was the worst transfer, but he was, without a doubt, one of the most unprofessional transfers in the world of football in the last decade.

Good job with the podcast guys, it's a smooth listen.

I know it's hell to make it work since @Universe lives in hell with a fucked up timezone, but I like the chemistry you guys have.

Since it's a FIF derived project, I think you should also listen to some of the input here about topics that you could decide.

Transfer window means that all the activity will focus on that, but you could talk as others mentioned already on the FFP, Settlement Agreement and all that bullshit in one episode.
And I'll throw in a few suggestions: Favorite Inter era, favorite player, best games you've watched... Mercato wise, it's Inter and we're paraded with 200 names each window, but keeping it real, you could talk about transfer "regrets", players that could have joined but didn't or players that were here but left early. Examples like Kaka, Ronaldinho.... Lavezzi from guys that didn't come (or Sanchez/Mascherano in 2010 etc). And from the guys who left early, there's Hakimi, Roberto Carlos, maybe Onana, maybe Kovacic etc.

There's a lot to talk about and it's nice to have a casual listen on a regular basis. Keep it up!

It's also worth noting we sold Kovacic to bring him here. The only reason I didn't include Kondogbia is because, like Barbosa, we got a decent fee back for him in the end. In terms of on-pitch performance he was definitely more disappointing than Dalbert, Lazaro, or Correa.

All are good ideas. Once the season starts we'll definitely focus more on matches and the league, but these types of topics are good to round things out.

Since, Inter is so close to starting the season, I guess Serie A predictions could be topic, with caveat of not knowing who will be the other forward. Another one, you could rate teams mercato so far this season: excellent, good, meh, bad and crazy. Then you guys will

I'd rate the mercato on the 1st of September. Right now it's kinda too soon.
