Another thing - anyone on here currently claiming to know how good this team is, giving either a positive or negative conclusion, is talking categorical bullshit. We might get some idea over the next few weeks, but right now, we have no fucking idea.

to be honest I don't give a fuck if we lose 3~5 matches by half season and still manage to get half ass 1-0 victories over smaller teams .
we'd still be pretty much high up in the league. maybe that's who we are this season and it's really a good thing.
on the other hand be thank full it happened this early to remind some of us of our weaknesses and that we should keep our feet on the ground I'm talkin to you stupid motherfuckin shit sucking retard guarin who talk about scudetto.

But in all honesty, this Fiorentina looks much like Stramaccioni's Inter and their score today is very much like our 3-1 against Juve. They have a new coach with a new philosophy. It might take other teams a while to figure them out so their luck is going to run out soon just like ours.

totaly agree!

We lose a game, big deal. Sure it was a humiliating defeat but all teams are capable of having a stinker once in a while. Besides, raise your hand if you thought after six games we would be tied for first at the start of season?

We have a week to get our shit together. 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, Guarin on the bench, Ljajic instead of Palacio must happen vs. Samp.

we have the best midfield in serie a.

Are you really saying a Guarin - Melo - Kondogbia is the best midfield in Serie A? Because if you are I'm going to need to stop taking your posts seriously from now on

Fuck this game it's useless to think about it, the overall beginning of the season is still positive, 5 wins and one lose.

On a very serious note, ban Ronaldo (Seydo) for a week with a premaban from opening match threads, please. Period.

Sometimes deep analysis are worth nothing. Like it or not, the one to blame for this apocalypse was Handa. First two goals were his fault, NOTHING else. After that, things were going downhill and you just can't stop it when you play against tough opponent. That's why these games you must be careful, one mistake and you're done. Plain and simple. The man was out of himself and that's it.

What worries me is how is this going to reflect on the team mentality. I'm afraid that the coach & players might not be able to go through this and feel like they're done, now Jube & others will come at them, etc. This is Inter's weak point last 4 years. Shit mentality. I hope I'm wrong so they just let it go.

Tbfh, I'm not extremely worried

This loss was due more on individual howlers than a systematic failure

I'm not taking any credit away from Fiorentina tho, because they looked FANTASTIC, but at least we were not complete headless chicken who gave up

Even at 3 goals and a man down, we didn't bend over and I still saw the fire in their eyes. And when it comes to Inter, who has always thrived mored on grit than skill, that's encouraging.

Oh and will someone please shut that Captain Hindsight up

I would agree with this mindset. We lost but this loss was completely different from the huge losses we took in the previous years. The 4-1 to Fiorentina comes to mind as being extremely bad. The only goal we really got broken down today was the 3rd and that was after we switched to a back 3.

The real worry is that the fear returned today, and it even seemed to permeate the new players. Handa was the first domino but they all fell. We recovered a bit after halftime, but we don't need the new players picking up the poor mentality from the players who've been here in recent years.

i blame mancini for this result. despite having good performance as central defender i dont think medel could keep playing there optimally. mancini's favouritism on guarin is a problem. and perisic should operate more actively on the flank.

and i dont understand what happen between ljajic and mancini.

Turned it off at half time and went back to sleep. Pathetic performance.

once in a year ill get in this mode, when i wont write with irony, jokes, stupidity, and eventually (while not a smart choice to begin with) ill take myself seriously on the internet... thats the mode and mood im currently in.

and by the time i went downstairs to grab a snack and watched some toystory 3 on the TV that mood went away.

so yeah...

:D

long story short, nothing to panic about.

palacio should never start again, EVER.

while i always felt medel is the worst choice for CB other members here praising him made me doubt and never say a thing about it, he panics easily and i dont get how is he so comfortable with passing to the goalkeeper so easily always...

jovetic is our leader, without him... lol, pure LOL.

Ljajic will suffer this season. he should be the starter today, but mancio fucked it up.

mirandas partner should have been Juan, not Medel.

its good we scored in the second, but one player less should not make that difference, we didnt create a single chance...

idk...

next game, i dont want to see medel starter as CB, and sure as hell i dont want to see Palacio.

give ljajic a chance or just tell us he is here to rot in bench for some stupid pigshitfuckponny tail reason...

we only have 1 goal/match so fix that horrible defending asap. They know we have shaky def when start a game, derby game could be same story like tonight if they scored first, but fortunately we hanging up till break, second half we always play better.

You know, I thought Guarin was playing very poorly. Then I realized it's probably very hard to run about when his cock is in your mouth the whole time.

I really can't understand this. Why does "his" cock is in "your" mouth? So there is another person who needs to run with Guarin while putting Guarin 's cock in that person's mouth?

This game was certainly tough to watch because it was the first time this season I saw the fear return. We had one of those blackouts that have characterized this team so much over the last 3-4 years. How many of these 30 minute blackouts have we seen? The scary part today was that this was the first time I saw that fear in the new players and we absolutely cannot have that mentality creeping into the "uncontaminated" ones.

It’s sad that such an experienced player like Handanovic could make a mistake like that in a big game, but it doesn’t surprise me. He like Ranocchia, Guarin, Juan Jesus, etc. have a lot of mental scars from the last few years. Anytime something goes against them you can just see the flashbacks of nightmares past and there’s almost a resignation. An acceptance that this is what they deserve like some type of masochist.

With that being said, today’s loss still isn’t as bad as some of the previous ones. Our defense wasn’t torn to shreds. We made mistakes but it wasn’t a systematic failure (with the exception of the 3rd goal that came when Mancini inexplicably switched to a back three mid game with Santon as LCB). Handanovic’s error so early in the match threw our game plan out the window, and coming from behind is something this team hasn’t had to do yet and we didn’t really know how. That coupled with losing Jovetic was just too much for this team to overcome. Add a flukey 2nd goal and a red card to that and you get what you saw today.

The next game is crucial. We need to show some mental fortitude. This is where the recent Inter teams would go off the rails and start dropping points at an alarming rate. We need to show we’re past that. I can’t really fault Mancini much for today’s result with the exception of the switch to a back three, but NOW is when he needs to earn his big paycheck. This is when a good coach gets the team back on track, we’ll see if Mancini can do that.

15-20 mins left of the game and a grand total of 1 or 2 of our players were trying to get the ball and press, the rest of the team were sitting back, almost parking the bus like we were winning, i want to know why?

i don't think i'l ever get that imagine of guarin high fiving the bench after coming off, i know why he was doing it but jeez :palm:
