Do you know how much we were paying Mazzarri? 3.5m. Mazzarri was also the highest paid coach in Serie A this season. So why do you expect miracles from Mancio, why should the "standard be much higher than Mazzarri" in 2 weeks? Because we are paying 0.5m more?
You are being unrealistic, mate. A coach is not a magician, however much you pay him. Lets face it, our squad is not among the top 3 squads in Italy. Give Mancio time, he may even make this squad qualify for CL - which will be a great accomplishment. Yes, it will be via defensive organisation and counter attacking football, that is his style.
Just stop expecting Mancio to wave a magic wand and turn us into Barcelona overnight. Its not going to happen.
It's not reasonable to expect Mancini will turn us into Barcelona overnight. It is reasonable to hold high standards for one of the highest paid managers in the world. Because we gave Mazzarri too much money, doesn't mean it makes sense to give Mancini the same amount of money. All it means is that the standard is flawed.
If we're paying anyone that much dough, we should be expecting titles. That doesn't mean that will happen though. We can't afford Mancini to waste 4 years trying to build a core, and then hire an elite level coach (another mourinho) to give us an extra push. That would render the salary and any investment into Mancio's tactics down the drain.
For thohirs project to attract as many fans to inter as possible, i dont think we will be attracting anyone new with Mancio's defensive style... and even if we qualify for UCL in the future, will we stay there by defending in numbers? no team in the history of football has ever been consistently successful by parking the bus with above average players.
Our squad is also top 3 quality - Kova, Icardi, Osvaldo, Dodo, JJ, Rano, Handa, Palacio and potentially D'Ambro, Mvila are a very solid core of players. we cant afford to spend another shitload on the market.

Nyall said about winning 1-0 against 10 men dnipro as his main argument and you did not include it in your counter argument
instead of counter the easier "time in the club argument",
Please explain how is COMEBACK winning 2-1 WITH 10 men is not better than LEAD winning 1-0 AGAINST 10 men?
If you use that image again, I will buy a gun and blow your brains out.
On topic: mancio's start has been worse than mazzarri's start - do I need to repeat that Mazzarri outplayed the reigning italian champions on his third match for Inter, while Mancio wasoutplayed by a midtable ukranian team in his second? This match isn't something to be proud of - contrary to what nyall originally said. WM's away win wasn't with ten men, yes, but we didn't scrape by with a handanovic masterclass either. Mancini has already been lucky to have one of the best goalkeepers in the world. But I can see how Mancio's victory could be more impressive than WM's victory now.
i agree that mancini will without a doubt be a massive improvement over mazzarri, but he won't be worth how much we're paying him because of the shitty kind of football he will play (which affects long term results, player development, marketability etc) and our dreadful financial state (losing 100 million every year)
