1) Recoba should never be a play-maker. I knew it wouldn't work but i had some false hopes. Backheels and dummy plays when you are trailing??? Passing the ball back without watching who's coming??? The only place I want him to play in is support-striker where he can dribble past the linesman, the referee and pass it to the ball boy and we won't be hurt that much.

2) If anyone, and i mean you Frisko ;) , says that stan is playing well then he is wish-full thinking-ing. Those kind of misses happen -only if he...- and it's okay. But he just played awful soccer and was just lost. For his, and our, sake I hope this is because he is being played out of position.

1) I know, I've always known that and everytime I see Inter starting with Recoba plus 2 strikers I know that he's gonna suck.

2) Dejan's miss was huge, no doubt about it. However, Vieri and Oba are guilty of equally bad misses in other games during this season, and they're freakin strikers.

If it was up to me I'd make a law against saying anything negative about Il Dragone :p

Seriously, he's the heart of our team, together with Adriano. If we're going to achieve anything he's going to play a major role in it.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind if Mancio put him on the bench once in a while. It's the same thing with Adriano.

What is his role at the team exactly, Frisko? I honestly don't know. He doesn't have an identity in the team, how can be the heart then?

I struggle to understand that mate. No identity? Just because he starts on the left instead of playing CM? No way.

Stankovic is behind every attacking move we make. His movement without the ball is simply amazing, when he's not providing our strikers with great passes he's constantly creating space with his movement.

You obviously judge him from our last 2 games, when I believe Mancio made a tactical error by not playing proper wingers. The whole midfield underperformed, including Cambiasso (and that's freakin saying something!).

I am judging his overall peformance. He had several nice assists and plays but still he is not as dominating as you make him sound.

As i said, i have to see him as a CM, his original and his star position, and i will judge him better.

Adriano - #10
I agree Hamed. True, Frisko Stankovic has been one of our top performers especially last year when he and Adriano carried the team. But he's been overplayed this year and he just isn't providing the goods like he's use to. Sure he can have some ok displays, but Stankovic is a great player and we expect for him to play well. A lot of times he seems tired or lost on the field, unlike the sensational games he use to have.

I have a lot of faith in Stankovic, and I truly believe he will get over his slump, but I sure hope that it's sooner then later because this team needs for him to help carry the offensive load like he did last year. By creating scoring opportunities and even scoring himself.

well, stan is not playing as good as last year, probably...

but he's an effective player, he can shoot, he can dribble and lead the midfield..., even when he sucked, he's still useful.... and I like his enthusiasm...

sometimes, mancio overplays him, just like he overplays adriano and veron..

many factors make him look worse this year, but the fact many players work upfront makes things very different from us... Last year, Dejan leads us in adapting to more attacking style under zac... This year, every one is attacking...

I still believe that dejan is one of the best mid player in italy, he still has a lot to offer... you always need this kind of player in italy... If he plays for Juve, Gobbi will make him look better than nedved...

Look at Morfeo now in Parma, but i guess he is as moody or maybe worse than Recoba..

Favalli is ok if he is a backup, but in no way should he be a starter. Coco back healthy should definately solve our LB probs.
