HELPLESS

:lol::lol::lol:

He's a man that cannot change a game when its going against him, ie liverpool in 05 he done nothing to stop the comeback - same as year before when he was beating deportivo 4-1 then proceeded to lose 4-0 2nd leg....he is so slow in reacting to a problem its frightening.

Important Point:
If you notice, when ever the ball in the defense or defense midfield lines, Inter's players just clear it to Chelsea area without any focus and Chelsea got the ball again, I saw many balls that could be dangerous if we pass it to the midfield to build a counter attack because there was a lot of space in Chelsea area.
The only player who was exception is Lucio, he was the only player who got the courage to take the ball and get advantage of the space and build a counter attack in some balls.

The same situation was in Barcalona game.

Any comments guys

This is the case almost always for us. Our players are SCARED to take charge because they have little confidence in their ability. Like you said, only Lucio had the balls and to some extent Sneijder. We were gifting them balls for nothing, at least make them sweat for it.

Sadly this won't change, we need new midfielders who can take command. Time and time again, we get patched-up half-ass solutions and we think we can win the CL.

great point..
it's true that it has always been this case with us .. we mostly clear the ball when the players have it near the box..
yesterday they were pissing me off with those useless shots in the 2nd half .. i mean why the hell would u try to shoot from awkward angle .. we were winning and we should have kept possession .. until some player have a good and somehow clear chance to try to score.. like Barcelona's style ..
we were giving them the ball for granted in their half with those shots ... we need to improve the attacking mentality ...
for example.. when a tactical player like Mario gets the ball at his feet and starts going forward .. the others nearby should start going forward with him to make chances!! ... I HATE LONG PASSES FROM OUR HALF TO THE OTHER HALF .. i just don't believe in them unless for counter attacks! but we use them like always!!
when Eto was calling for the players to push forward when we earned a throw-in deep in Chelsea's half we looked really silly.. he was right then.. i hope the players understand this in the next matches...!!

but still, we showed an improvement ffs!! .. and match by match we could reach a higher level of ball possession and scoring ability..
we shod combine the strength of the defense with the power of our attacking players to produce some top class playing style... and loose the fear that sticks for most of the CL matches ... esp the away games!!!

forza Inter!

I find that this fear issue tends to be related to technical ability on the ball...The less skilled, the more fear being closed down...Workrate on defense can help makeup for that but going forward, if you aren't good on the ball, you're gonna see some doe eyed players with onrushing defenders bearing down

Someone clone (two times) Matheus fast, as long as he still lives.

Barca would have no chance against us.

for the 2 ppl posting above me.. we have the kind of players to step up our level .. the problem isn't with their "skills" .. the problem is the mentality and how they're deployed to play and which playing style the are asked to do ... we've got what it takes to make it through till the end .. but we need to keep "that" great character we have been showing this season through all the matches!! esp away from home!!!

if we wod have a complete squad next time, we shod kill The Blues .. with the right mentality, our MF looks pretty strong defensively and offensively (Zanetti - Cucho - Deki) ... its all up to their heads and what they think to do!!

If it was the case of mentality, we would dominate every game in midfield, in Serie A, and suck in CL.

That is not the case.

did we dominate juventus? did we dominate siena? what about bari? or atalanta, cagliari, sampdoria and napoli?

the only teams we beat out of those were napoli at home and cagliari which we didn't deserve to beat away

That article is so fuckin annoying - why can't they just accept a loss? Instead they go about analysing every little aspect to take the credit away from inter.what a joke!

I read that...I don't think there's too much to feel agrudged by in it...Cech certainly doesn't deserve the blame on Milito's goal, IMHO...Terry, if anyone, but still a nice cut inside from Milito before a great strike to slot it into the very narrow space of the near post.

Samuel's lack of pk or red card, those things happen I guess...It was far away from the the linesman and referee and not the easiest call to make I guess.

If I'm Inter though, I would be concerned still going to the JT-Bridge...They had the lion's share of possession and some great shots on goal...Next time, they could find the back of the net more...I found it ironic that Chelsea were getting beat by the same sort of tactical plan Mourinho led Chelsea with when he was there...I wonder, though, if Chelsea might have Bosingwa back by then and perhaps allow them to flip Ivanovic to the other side...Their lack of pushing up from their wingbacks was pretty clear too

Seeing Samu's miss again makes me believe that it wasn't as bad as it has been made out to be, IMHO...Striking the ball with your non dominant leg on a ball coming at the angle it came in on to direct 90 degrees is not the easiest shot in the world...If that came from the opposite side of the pitch and his right leg, I don't think he misses that but he may not have scored anyway

Milito played very well as did Lucio & Sneijder...Motta is an idiot, very fortunate not to have been sent off for that early kick to Ballack's face...Stankovic, one of the more inferior performances I've seen from him - has to still not be 100% fit yet

in the second leg we are defending tight and trying to score goals off the counter and set punizioni(corners, free kicks, etc.) Look like Hilario will play for Cech in the return leg looks to be out for a month or so good news for us if that hold to be true. We will have a better chance going thru against Hilario then Cech in the return leg.

Zanetti.
Yeah, and if it wasnt for Eto we wouldnt have scored the 2nd goal. He single handedly brought all those defensive players upfront when it was a throw in.
