Wanna bet this is going to be a brace, or maybe even a hat-trick for Barbosa? I'm sure he will play this match as if the destiny of his very soul depended on it.

I think there is a higher percentage chance Pinnamonti starts than Barbosa.

This is a delicate moment for Pioli regarding Gabriel's development. It will be tough convincing the player he sincerely is part of the team's plans if he does this or learns that if he doesn't get any chances even in the Coppa, which will likely mean he will get scarce, if any, opportunities in Serie A.

Apparently Pinamonti won't be available due to a head clash during the Primavera game at the weekend. Medical team is being precautious with him.

I am confident that Gabigol will start this game. Pioli even hinted as much.

I just hope we rest some key players... specially Perisic, Mario, Kondogbia and Candreva. Ideally also rest Icardi.

Gabigol, Eder, Banega, Medel and Brozovic should start. Maybe even one of Palacio/Pinamonti/Biabiany should start.

1. Banega is disqualified, like someone mentioned. People need to read the thread before posting!

2. Andrea Ranocchia joins Juan Pablo Carrizo in having caught the flu which prevents them both to even sit on the bench. This was in the weekend, will see how it goes.

3. Medel just recovered from injury and I'm not sure he will start.

4. I would give Eder, Palacio and Brozovic playing time, they earned it. Rest for Candreva and Perisic.

5. I would start Barbosa, but it's up to Pioli if he deserves it.

Unfortunately Pinamonti is suffering from a head injury like thatdude wrote.

6. I read somewhere that the Chinese actually rate the Coppa and don`t want many changes in the starting line-up! I believe we won`t play with INTER "B" side or Primavera players from the start because they want to win it. So this game might just be watchable :D

Just rest Miranda, dont care bout anyone else, but this guy is playing every single minute possible. It's a matter of time before he gets injured badly at this rate.

Even flu viruses know what's best for us.

Stefano Pioli to Inter Channel ahead of Bologna: “We will give everything we have to win the Coppa Italia”

Tomorrow Inter will face Bologna in the TIM Cup and Stefano Pioli spoke with Inter Channel ahead of that match:

The last winning cycle for Inter started and ended with a Coppa Italia title…

“The way this cup is constructed we enter the competition with only four games between us and the title and it’s one of our goals to reach the final. Therefore we have to do well tomorrow. We are preparing like we always do before an important game.”

Inter comes from a victory and plays at home, how important is that?

“If we are serious and concentrated it’s very important. Playing at home could mean an advantage even if each team has 11 players on the pitch. We have to show that we are the stronger team by performing at the highest level.”

Donadoni says he will rest some players, how about you?

I will have in mind which of the players that worked hard during Saturday’s game against Chievo Verona, but also which players that works hard during the daily sessions. I will put a competitive team on the pitch and after the final training session I will know which players are in the best condition. Winning is good and we must continue to do that.”

How many players from your time in Bologna is still there?

“I didn’t expect that question, I think Taider is the only player but he’s out due to an injury. Marco Di Vaio is part of the technical staff. I had a good time in Bologna, but now it’s more important to keep up our momentum in which we are growing.”

In the league the others also win, does this put pressure on those ahead or does it frustrate you that they never drop points?

I don’t think it’s a problem for us, we have the ambition to win as many games as we can. Only by performing at our highest level can we achieve that. I believed in that goal when I arrived and I still do, this team has great qualities. But our future doesn’t only depend on us, but if we keep on winning the distance between us and the top teams will shrink and this is important when we come to the decisive games.”

Tomorrow will be a cold night, why should an Inter fan go to the stadium?

“Because an Inter fan loves Inter and should know that the team will give everything in tomorrow’s game.”

Palacio will definitely start, hopefully Gabigol too, so the San Siro crowd can finally get the entertainment they deserve.
