Milito hasn't been reliable since 2010. Even when he was scoring seasons before they were incredibly sporadic spells and he was never consistent.

Well then Hernanes should have taken it. When has Icardi ever taken a penalty? Players miss penalties. It happens but his conversion rate from the spot it impressive. Just a shame he missed but had Icardi stepped up and took it, you could have said "why didn't the normal penalty taker take it"?
