I'm going to get crucified for being "Anti-Inter" but I agree with Adam. We need to lot of luck to get through this.
Playing Barca is like playin Tennis against Fed: you can play at your absolute best, he can have an off day and he'll still win 99% of the time. We need a perfect game and a lot of luck, but anything is possible in this game.

Javier Zanetti,
The 4-1-4-1 formation is good at marking players and counter-attacking them. I listened to the press-conference of Sneijder and Mourinho and they are very confident and confirmed that they won't let Barca have ball possession like they used to and they will attack them and score.................I predict a 1-0 or 2-1 since we will be playing at home. The return leg might be a Chelsea-like game :D

If Mourinho stars Pandev again I'll be pissed off beyond belief. Mario is fearless, he doesn't give a fck. He'll challenge, he'll dribble, he'll irritate. We need players like that. Not to mention he's much more effective in more or less all aspects of the game except for workrate. Mourinho will commit a cardinal sin if he starts Pandev.

Javier Zanetti,
Barca are not a team that can be affected under any circumstances. We are struggling in Serie A because of the CL in our minds, while they play every competition at the same level. Forcing them to ride the bus due to air transport problems is no advantage for us.

We might even do the same thing next week, cuz the ash will last, as reported, for another two weeks. The same scenario might happen to us, only if Moratti decides to use his emergency transportation system: A CRUISE SHIP.

Anything is indeed possible because at the end of the day, you still have to go out there and give it your best...Matches can be decided in the smallest details & moments too

I expect a very difficult match

Nah, the question is will Barcelona play to the best of their ability or not. If not they'll still keep a vast majority of the possession but we'll have a few more chances at goal. If they do, this game will look much like the first time we played them, except they'll most likely score this time around.
I would like to respond to others, but it would take a lot of writing. Not that other points of yours were bull, there were good remarks of your point of view, but I think I could answer to couple of them with couple of good points of my own.

As for this one above, I quoted it, because it sounds like it all depends on Barcelona, and I'm sorry sir, but that is actually a bull.

Seems like Barcelona gets the credit no matter what happens, even thought you haven't seen the game yet. If they win, it is because of how they played, and if they loose it is because they didn't play well enough. Sorry, but Barcelona are not Alfa and Omega. They might be the best team in the world currently in tearms of offensive stage of the game (doing decently deffensive wise at the same time), but they ain't superhumans as you portray them.

And the best proof of that is Chelsea game last year.

You shouldn't confuse the glory-hunters who traded in their Man Utd #7 shirt for a Barcelona #10 one last May with regular Barça fans. If you were to beat us and lift the trophy in Madrid, you could be next on their list.

As for the style vs. substance debate, it goes both ways. I don't think the performance is more important than the result (football is a business, after all) but it is important as well. Now I would never knock anyone for taking a different approach (dirty anti-football is a different story and is something that even Mourinho himself used to complain about in England) nor would I try to use it as an excuse for a loss (which is what some people tried to do when Man Utd's gigantic team bus knocked us out of the CL two years ago) but claims that this obsession with beautiful football is a result of the club's most recent successes are quite simply off the mark.

And I don't think you can compare our defensive pressure (aggressively hounding the ballcarrier in numbers) which is always intended to regain possession to the strategic fouling that is intended to disrupt the flow of the game through an intentional foul. Of course we commit fouls in the process but unlike most of our opponents, we have nothing to gain from giving away free kicks as it is the ball we want and not an interruption of anyone's rhythm.

I think the first 15mins will give us good indication of what to expect for the rest of the encounter.

In regards to chances created, accuracy of our shots, fighting heart, mentality, focus etc it's down to us. Of course we need to be at our best. However, in regards to possession I do believe it's all down to Barcelona. I've watched them a lot this season and they really are superhumans. Arsenal pressurized them too. They were typical English, running with all they had, same with Real and Manchester last year, but it didn't matter much.

Anyways, I'll guess we'll see. As someone mentioned Mourinho and Sneijder confirmed they will try to not allow Barca their usual possession. I hope I'm proven wrong but I just don't think it's possible if they're at the top of their game.

Why are some of you so pessimistic? I know José very well and he has shown time and time again that his cocky little mind can find a tactical answer to just about any question a football team can ask if he takes some time. And we are Barcelona, you can bet he's been at it since the draw was made. Trust him. He will make his players come out with fire in their eyes, that's the big danger for us. They had that fire in the first leg against Chelsea and were up 1-0 inside three minutes. Mourinho's Chelsea a few years ago had lost the first leg at Camp Nou and in the return leg, again with that damn fire in their eyes, came out and stormed to a 3-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes. Fire, I tell you. Bad.

Iniesta, Messi,
Every disadvantage has its advantage.

It’s better to lose with your own vision than with someone else’s.

If we have the ball, they can’t score.

Without the ball you can't win.
